The pool are is great with a total of 4 pools, 1 heated which was perfect for the kids (and us!). The restaurant has ok food and the prices are not bad. Very friendly staff.
The bungalow we stayed in could have been perfect if it wasnt for the damp and the water leaking in to the house! The kitchen, bathroom, living room etc was very posh but unfortunately with damp in the walls. In the end we had to leave early when rain water poured in to the house and we had to mop the floors for several hours.
The airplane noise is extremely loud as the resort is located right under the flight path to the nearby airport. Strangely enough one gets used to the planes after a few days.

We visited The Palms in January, as we planned to rent a villa in October with our 3 children. First impressions were very good, and although quiet, the resort looked well maintained. Unfortunately, when I visited the toilets next to the bottom pool, my opinion changed - the poor standard of cleanliness was shocking! I can honestly say, the toilet brush in the poolside toilet was filthy beyond description - it made me wonder what else was being missed. Suffice to say, we shall not be booking to stay at The Palms, as I would not be prepared to risk the health of my family. The thought of the children playing in the pool, and using that toilet and then re-entering the pool was not a pleasant one.

We stayed here over Christmas and altough the weather varied, we was amazed by the high standard of the complex. The complex is set out in lots of small apartments which were really nice, the rooms are large and we had a huge garden terrace balcony with a barbeque. The bedroom was gorgeous and the bathroom was very luxurious with a hot tub. There was a lovley italian white godess statue in a glass box which was visible in the bathroom, second bedroom and living room and it looked beautiful. My only fault with this would be the person who created it wasn't thinking pratically as we had to make sure no one was in the second bedroom when we wanted a bath etc.
The grounds are huge and have many facilties-we enjoyed the pool bar which is on a platform in the pool, very nice and friendly.
The location wasnt great and there was no beach near us but transport into las americas is available. There is plenty of bars and resteraunts a 20 minute walk down the road but that was a pain when walking home late at night and tired. Couldnt comment on the nightlife as we went out of season but all in all a lovley hotel.
I would reccomend this to families and older people who prefer a quieter holiday out of the way, not to young groups looking for nightlife.

We were booked into a marvellous apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our fortnight, in spite of the aircraft noise, in fact the nearby restaurant/bar was a lot noisier at night. Weather was fine, pool was cold but what can you expect in February.

We booked through www.holidaylettings.co.uk -rentals-golf-del-sur-80480
The owner was so very helpful and all she committed to was fulfilled on are arrival at 41 The Palms.
The two bedroom apartment was spotless on arrival and there was a welcome pack in the fridge!! We explored the area and found the pool bar where Babs and the crew made us very welcome and helped are very hungry son.
The apartment was complete with air con and all mod cons 42 inch plasma, beautiful leather suites, two bathrooms both en-suite. We also had a pool directly outside our patio area and there were lots of loungers and sun shelter, the pool was generally quite most of the day. There are also another three pools.
The Palms is a safe gated complex with very nice friendly people enjoying there holiday. It would be hard to critic it in any way especially how hard all the team at The Palms work.
The Palms is in very easy reach of the airport . The local bars and restaurants are within easy walking distances we particularly like Dabda's which serves excellent Tapas and cocktails, Big Al's also serves a great meal We loved are holiday and are looking forward to returning !!!
