My wife and I have just returned from another great holiday at “our villa” (we wish!!!). This is our sixth visit to this lovely villa which we enjoy so much. (We are reluctant to say how “great” it is because it could mean more people will book it thereby reducing the chances of booking it again.)
It really does feel like a home from home. There are 3 bedrooms, one with a double bed and two bathrooms – one en suite. The kitchen has everything you would need and the big bonus is that it has a water purifier which means there is no need to buy bottled water as it is fine for tea and coffee. There is wifi and internet TV which gets most of the “free” UK channels (but unfortunately for me – no sport) but who goes on holiday to watch TV.
Outside there is a great relaxing patio with outdoor tables and 6 chairs, 4 comfy, adjustable chairs which are ideal for relaxing in, as well as 4 sunbeds and tables to sit around the great pool. The pool is so necessary during the summer months and even in February and March it is still great to use it.
The villa has a good view of the ocean and the 4th fairway of Amarilla golf. It is located just about where the first drives from the yellow tees normally land and, to be honest we have had a couple of balls land in the pool but only if they can escape the netting that is there to prevent this. It’s great to just sit and chill and watch the golfers going past.
As for location, there are a few bars and restaurants nearby within a 5-10 minute walk which are good but you can easily call a taxi to pick you up at the villa which will take you fairly cheaply to anywhere you want to go.
We so much look forward to returning to this Villa as it has everything that you could need.

We enjoyed a lovely 2 week holiday at the exceptionally well equipped Villa Golf. The location is nice and peaceful but close enough to busier places if you fancy a change. I would highly recommend this Villa
I stayed at Villa Golf for 2 weeks in August 2017 with my husband and 2 children aged 7 & 10. The Villa has a stunning location with views across the green of the golf course and out over the sea, it was close to the airport and cost around 15 euros in a taxi to get there. On arrival the villa was clean and prepared with towels laid out on all the beds, plus as we arrived quite late there was the added bonus that food essentials had been left for us to have breakfast the next day (bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee, etc) plus a bottle of wine which was needed after a long day travelling.
The villa was very spacious inside with plenty of room for the 4 of us and the decor was pleasant. Unfortunately when we arrived one of the toilets wouldn’t flush, but we reported it the next day and were surprised when a workman turned up to fix it in under an hour! The kitchen is functional, and very well equipped with everything that you could need if you decide to cook as we did on a few occasions. There is also a barbecue on the terrace as well, plus a table provided to eat outdoors on the shaded terrace. The highlight of the holiday was the pool which kept us all entertained for hours, the villa position means that you get sun on the pool all day but have complete privacy and the water temperature was lovely.
The site itself is nice with a few bars, restaurants and shops. The supermarket on site doesn’t look the best, but actually has practically everything you could need to buy. We ate out quite a lot and especially enjoyed the food at the Fusion restaurant, it was reasonably priced with a lovely atmosphere. The site is close enough to walk to the nearby Marina, as well as Golf del Sur and the San Blas shopping village. We used the taxi rank on site to take us a bit further afield, to Los Christianos or Las Americas costing around 22 euros each way, but after a few times it can get a bit expensive so if you plan to do lots of sightseeing I would certainly recommend a hire car.
All in all it was a great place to relax and unwind as a family but not the right place if you are looking for a busy tourist destination.
