As a retired couple we go back to White Sands every few years, it is a beautiful resort set right on a long beach of lovely soft sand, clear waters with lots of fish, good cocktail bar! White Sands have an excellent restaurant. Not a good resort for those with walking problems, as there are a lot of steps.
I would suggest that to get the best from a holiday in Menorca you hire a car as there are many places not served by public transport that are worth exploring.
For the walkers, there is a marked path right round the coast of the island.
The island is quieter than its sister islands and modern high rise is restricted.
The village and nature reserve of Es Grau is well worth a visit, late in the season you can find tortoises in the sandy undergrowth.More
