Stayed here in July for a week with our two boys.great holiday.beach beautifully clear and calm. Hotel was very good.good pools for older and younger kids alike. We went self catering as our last all inclusive holiday food was average. This hotels food I would say is good however, with any all inclusive hotel food we've tried seems to all taste of a bit of a tang.we bought tickets for three breakfasts and three dinners thus giving us the choice to eat out aswell. Drinks are extra at dinner as it is halfboard we purchased not all inclusive. The hotel don't do all inclusive so don't moan about it. Best restaurant we tried by far was the Hong Kong Chinese by the Australian bar. The place was dead when we arrived so were a little apprehensive. Boy were we wrong. Great food and service. Trip to small fishing village on land train was nice for us adults but kids were board. Overall though, great hotel. You wont be dissappointed. Mary on reception was very kind and informative. Would not hesitate in booking this hotel again.

Good clean rooms with sea view (some are pool view). Cleaned daily. Food was average but with a good varied selection in the evenings. Entertainment was great for kids during the day. Evening family entertainment was good too. Not a lot there so hiring a car is a good idea for a few days.

With around 200 apartments, 2/3 of them occupied during the peak season when we went, Hotel Paraiso is not a busy place, though not quiet either. We went with three children, one of the few places that caters for them in one apartment. It was clean, spacious and ours had a balcony overlooking the pool. As we went half board the breakfast and dinner was included, and it was good to get away from the washing up. However, we did find that after two weeks that the international cusine began to seem a bit repetitive. For those going self catering, two small supermarkets provide competitivly priced food and drink, similar to one in Britain. Something for everyone, but I would recommend leaving the hotel for one or two nights to experience something else.

There are two pools in the hotel, one part of the older complex, which was quieter, and the newer pool which was larger, with an abundance of sun loungers around it. The two are seperated by a childrens park, and the latter hosts water volleyball/ basketball in the afternoon (and is the one on the main picture).

Evening entertainment was what you would usually expect, though I can't say I experienced much of it. Daytime entertainment covers almost everything possible, including one day a week when they look after children (any age!) from 10 to 4, allowing parents to relax or visit some of the tayolitic sites (prehistoric monuments) or towns on the island.

The beach was great, only a 4-6 minute walk away and with amenities, pedaloes and soft sand. One of the best on the island- and viewable from the hotel and about half the rooms (the ones with harder access to the pool). One of the bars at the beach offers satellite TV access to any Sky Sport channel, and though I would advise not to spend too much time there, it seemed popular.

As the majority of travellers on the island are British, and around 85% of the people here are, the staff speak good English, as well as Spanish, Catalan, Italian and German.

The ideal holiday time here is around 10 days (as mentioned in other reviews, 7 days is not quite enough, but by 14 we found the island wasn't quite big enough). Hiring a car is a good idea to get around the island, though if this is too expensive the local buses are cheap and run often.

As a warning, in August temperatures in Menorca can easily go above 35 degrees, and when it does there is no escape. Most families are trapped by the summer holidays but if you aren't, visit either in June or September as the temperatures will be easier to adapt to.

Overall a hotel that lived up to its expectations: relaxing, no housework and sun. Quiet enough but not too dull. Ideal for families.

Just back from 3rd stay at Isla Paraiso and again had great time. Apartments clean and fairly comfortable, not sure if i would want to sleep on sofa bed though, looked well used and gave off a odd smell. Pool was great, ( except for half day closure due to child having accident !!! in it ). Area around pool clean and tidy, Towels on sun beds by 7am each morning, good fun sitting on the balcony watching the men being sent out early to secure a good spot for for the sun worshipers. Food in restaurant was excellent value especially if you have children, always plenty of choice and always well cooked. All staff were very polite and friendly. The entertainment was ok, the shows were very good but the bingo and quiz type of entertainment was not our kind of thing so we went off elsewhere on those nights and came back when it was over and had a quiet drink then. Overall a very nice and relaxing place to stay.

We have just had the best family holiday!! We have 2 boys age 4 & 7 room was spacious very clean and we had excellent service from housemaids. We went half board so just had breakfast included which was well stocked and very efficient. We didnt eat at night in the resturant but people that we met that did said it was very good. Pools we're all very clean and safe for both of our children and considering the apartments were full never seemed too busy. Diddly and Andrea made our children very welcome when they joined in with any of the kids activities and the entertainment we saw was really good and family friendly. The beach is about a 5 min walk away ( down hill, slower on way back :-) and for me made the holiday. the water was so clear with a good mix of nooks and crannies for my eldest to explore. Beach was lovely clean sand and not too crowed considering the time of year. And for the men There is a bar with sky sports right next to it made 1 very happy daddy!!!! We eat out every night at several different restaurants la paella, white sands, good bridge, the Chinese which I can't remember and the restaurant next to bar bar 51 again i cant remember the name all of which were good value good food and lovely staff especially the last restaurant that I can't remember the name of. The only thing I would say is the kids meals are all the same wherever you go which annoyed me a little as not all kids like something & chips every night. For a change one day we walked the coastal path to son parc (go out of complex as if going to beach but go left up the hill instead of right to the beach and its on the right Hand side of the road on bend) it is quite a rocky path so sensible shoes. it takes about 15min and then a further 10 mins to get to beach through the resort. There is a small kids play area with zip slide, and climbing things which is in shade so my boys loved it. Beach also nice as very shallow for a good 300yards out. So brilliant for small kids. Be warned though if walking there or back on a particularly warm day it gets very hot indeed on that cliff walk!!!! There is a pharmacy and I think I saw a doctors too luckily we didn't need it. its open every day but I did hear that he is a bit grumpy lol!! It is a quiet resort no loud music blasting 24/7 or big groups of young adults so you felt safe as a family especially have young kids. All in all we have defiantly said we are going again I have even looked to see if I could book for October but they are full :-( never mind next year it is then this time 10 days as 7 not enough!! Thanks for a fab holiday wish we could of stayed longer!!!

Room Tip: A room in the 400's
