“Great kids club...great location but a few niggles!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2014

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Estival Park Hotel. We stayed in hotel 2 on an all inclusive basis. We have returned feeling great, it was a lovely holiday but I have a few bits of what I feel is constructive criticism and I hope the hotel can use this to make improvements.

I travelled with my young daughter who is nearly 3 and was very much looking forward to getting into the adult pool for some swimming lesson time however one side of the pool, the deep side is VERY deep! It could be on the verge of dangerous! I understand there is another half of the pool for the kids which is around knee depth but it isn't big enough for everyone to use when the hotel is full. It was such a shame as I didn't use the pool as much as I would have liked.

I found the pool area very clean and we always got a sunbed even if we arrived late morning. The snack bar by the pool is excellent and so are the range of drinks on offer! Proper coca cola from the dispenser and branded soft drinks....a huge fridge full of bottled water to help yourself to and a freezer full of ice lollies for the kids. The crisps and peanuts are a nice touch too especially in the evening when sitting having a drink.

The rooms are very clean and well maintained however the bathrooms are starting to look a little tired. The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of space.

The evening entertainment was very good compared to previous hotels we have stayed in however I felt the shows started too late...10pm most nights. The kids disco finishes at 8:30 and then the entertainment stops until 10pm, I feel this is too long especially being a family hotel.

The best part of the hotel is the kids club, especially Anita she is absolutely fantastic with the children and remembered my daughters name after spending 20 minutes with her...this makes such a difference! She is funny, lively and all the children loved her...what a credit to the hotel! My daughter wanted to go to the kids club everyday as the activities were great.

The food is very good, it did get repetitive but what all inclusive doesn't! The quality of the meat and salad was very good and the wine was lovely.

We hired bikes one day from reception and felt the price was brilliant value...€6 for 2 hours! We also walked into Salou a few times which is a nice safe walk along the cycle path...it took around 20 minutes.

For couples the spa looked lovely and is reasonably priced. The indoor pool is nice but they make you wear a swim cap and charge 2 euros for these!

Overall we were really pleased with the hotel....we have stayed in some beautiful hotels around the world but for Spain I think it's great if they could just tweak a few things! None of the negative things are major we still had a great time and would return!

Dear customer, Thanks a lot for your time reviewing your experience in Estival Park, we ara aware of all your comments and we will do our best for improving the weak points found. Regarding to the pool for infants there are other pools in resort, one for each hotel and different shape and deeps. I hope to see you again in our resort. KInd regards.

super all inclusive venue with great selection of food and drinks on offer. Rooms are clean and functional and maid service was very good. The evening entertainment was varied and you could find something to your liking in one of the three hotels. Its only 5 mins walk to the beach and shops and a little further to Aquopolis water park. Theres the local bus (Bus Plana) at the end of the street which offers very good value on local 10 journey tickets for Salou/Cambrills/Tarragona and excursions to Barcelona/Montserrat/Valencia etc.
My only dislike was that this huge complex is just so busy with guests from a variety of countries. I prefer somewhere quieter myself but as a family holiday we would definately return. 9/10

Room Tip: Our room was ground floor overlooking the pool and entertainment area and was a bit noisy

Myself, my husband and 2 boys (age 11 and 13) have just returned from a week in Hotel 1 at Estival park. The weather was mostly good but a few cloudy days and rain and cool nights mixed in!- not what we were expecting! Room - we got a duplex room which had the staircase up to a room with double bed and tv. two beds downstairs and another tv. Showers great. Air con bit hit and miss but overall fine and plenty of storage room.Restaurant - again lots to choose from. Hotel 1 didn't have self serve drinks so just ask staff.Snack bar was always fresh and toasties were beautiful (esp if you managed to miss brekkie!) Pool great and LOADS of sunbeds at Hotel 1 available throughout the day. We went on the Jeep Safari which was the most amazing experience and my boys loved it. Don't bring a packed lunch - 10 E for adult and 8E for kids lunches at the little restaurant you stop at with wine included.Really this was an brilliant day out. Also did Barcelona football and freetime and our rep Suzanne on the bus who was a lovely knowledgable lady who made the day. Nou camp brill too.Overall we really enjoyed our weeka nd eat out a few times in resort to break things up a bit. The only downside is that we felt hotel could have been cleaner round the pool area and outside seating. Also tatty carpet outside rooms needs ripped up!!Our boys enjoyed it all and thats the main thing for us!! Enjoy if you are going!!

Room Tip: Ask for duplex - more room and sleep 4 easily

Returned from a week all inclusive at the Aquasplash Resort Hotel 1. Lovely, very clean, our beds were changed twice in the week and towels daily. Room was lovely and spacious even with 3 beds. All rooms overlooked the pool which I thought would be great, not when the entertainment is on till midnight and very loud, this would be my only criticism of the holiday, and as a previous reviewer mentioned, acts were random and a tad strange. Food was a bit hit and miss, although we never went hungry, just some rather strange choices. The Spanish omelette at breakfast was gorgeous, shame it was only in the one day.Snack bar on the lower ground was nice, again very clean and the choice of food spot on for kids and adults alike. My Son who is 9 loved the freedom to go to the bar and get a drink and pop to the fridge for ice cream.Free entry to Aquopolis meant we were there 4 days out of our 7, so much to do, great loungers if you want to do nothing. Spotlessly clean and very well laid out, one of the best places I have been. Easy to get to PortAventura and Barcelona, point to note if you book the First Choice Football and Freetime, we only had 2 hours at the Nou Camp which was not enough, saying that we had an awesome day in a beautiful city, have fed back directly to First Choice. Would we go back again, yes, and will, but will try for an apartment as the evening entertainment is not for us.

The hotel complex is very clean, close to the beach which is fantastic and clean.
Food was great with plenty of selection.
Swimming pools are great and the kids loved it, they also enjoyed the mini disco.
The entertainment was good generally with a couple of random acts.

All in all a great holiday destination and I would recommend it an return to visit again.

I stayed here last aug with my family i was a disappointed in the Hotel room we got the sliding door was broken when we arrived we got the guys to fix it but it took 2 days not what you'd want with 2 small children.
There was what looked like damp on the bathroom roof which wasn't nice to look at.
The food was nice there was loads to choose from but with 2 fussy eaters it was a bit of a pain
