My family and i have hust come back from a 10 day holiday from this hotel, whilst staff were friendly and hotel beautiful ,entertainment was unexcistant ,there was a few families in the hotel we were left to our own devices, food was awful, its a shame because the hotel was so lovely that they could do so much more ,it was our first holiday and the hotel didnt do much for us ,

My partner and i staying at this hotel for 7 nights all inclusive and regretted this by our second day.
The hotel was clean and bedroom was nice with a memory foam mattress. Cosmetically the hotel was nice and reception staff were polite although this is probably all the hotel has going for it.

The FOOD was DISGUSTING and not edible, we ate there twice and the both of us were up all night being SICK and everything else. Whenever we did try and eat here we would cut open our meat and the majority of meats where uncooked. So we were forced to eat out every day which cost a small fortune, ( ie: bottle of beer cost 4 euro's) Oh and what they mean by snacks at the hotel is ready salted crisps and either an almost frozen ham and butter sandwhich or a stale ham and butter sandwhich!

The pool area was kept clean but the pool was absolutely freezing! The sunbeds were uncomfortable and pool bar wasn't even open. Rude pool adentandent and the bold bar man with the stress lump on his head was the grumpiest, rudest man i've ever met! He costs a euro a smile!
The bar shuts at 11:45, and on one of the few nights there was actually people in the hotel we all stayed up chatting till about 12:15 and were all told to go to bed like children!

ENTERTAINMENT was non existant for adults and childrens was 'a pizza hut song' among a very few others repeated every night!

Oh and hotel is such a long walk from the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.

DO NOT STAY HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

Room Tip: If already booked upgrade to poolside view!

I stayed there with 2 friends aged 21-24. We stayed for a week and were very pleased with the hotel. Even though we knew very little Spanish the Reception staff were very helpful. They even offered us a promotional 2 day ticket to the Port Aventura Theme Park. Which saved us loads of money. The rooms were clean and tidy and were cleaned on a daily basis. All the rooms seemed to offer an adequately sized balcony. We had a lovely view of the pool. The location of the hotel was very good as it was within a 5 mintue walk from the local bus stop. We were located very closely to the neighbouring towns of Tarragona, Salou and Cambrills. We even managed to get to Barcelona- although it was a 1hour 30 minute train journey away. We Stayed half board and with 2 of my friends being vegetarian the food choice was rather limited. Although I must say there was a large selection of food availabe for meat eaters. The quality of the food was not great but it got us through the week we stayed. As with evey meal there was a large selection of fruit. We would rate this hotel 4 stars as the Reception Staff really made our stay enjoyable as they were alwayss ready to help. Also when travelling around La Pineda do not pay bus fare go the local tabacco shop (Tabacas) and ask for a Bus pass.
Also Be aware Do not got in to the Shop Touch India as they are Cheats !!!!

Very nice hotel, very clean and modern. Rooms tidied every day.
Beware the food coming of the chefs hot plate, we had chicken and pork that was 90% uncooked. I imagine there will of been alot of people made very unwell by this for a long time. the food in general was 4 out of ten and let the hotel down a bit. Breakfast is not a nice experience-theres alot of people-big ques for the toasters and drinks-couldnt wait to get out in the mornings.
My recomendation would be to use it as a place to stay but not eat in.

Just got back from a week staying half board. Hotel was clean, staff were polite, friendly and efficient. Food was good and quite varied, plenty of salads most nights and always grilled fish of some sort so good if you want to go healthy. House wine very reasonable. Indoor spa was great for a steam and sauna on cloudy days. (The indoor pool is boiling in contrast with the outdoor which is pretty cold but bearable as long as you do a quick first length to warm up) Would recommend bike hire for a day. Cycle along prom and turn right at the end, up the road is a cycle lane to Salou and on from there along the prom to Cambrils (nice harbour and seafood restaurants. We had a fantastic carpachio of fish at restaurant Marina) probably about 6 miles each way. Take the bus to Tarragona for shopping and roman ruins. Taberna Vasca across from the hotel is a great little Spanish bar with the fastest waitress ever, serving excellent trditional tapas. Mixt at the other end of La Pineda is also good but more upmarket. The Hacienda is a big hotel that seems to cater very well for large group bookings. While we were there several large groups of Spanish school students came and went.On the Saturday we arrived there was a wedding and also a flamenco weekend that the Spanish people had obviously but as a package. This was great because they really pushed the boat out that night in the buffet so there were mussels, king prawns e.t.c. One minute the place could be teaming with life and the next minute you could be sitting by the pool with just the birds for company. I think this is a great place for couples and people with kids old enough to entertain themselves. If you want kids clubs, wrap around entertainment and the full English then this hotel is probably not for you.

i stayed here with 3 friends all aged between 18-20. the hotel itself is lovely but the staff at the bar definatley let it down. we were staying all inclusive so everytime we ate or drank something we had to sign for it. i found one particular bar man very rude, i went to get some drinks for me and my friends but was only allowed to take 1 at a time when i questioned this i got attitude back which really upset me as we had paid to stay in this hotel and expected good service as it was a 4* and dealing with customers myself in my job i would never speak to them the way he did to me. anyway grudge aside....
the food was always hot and was your standard buffet style
entertainment we never stuck around for we always went outside of the hotel at night time. but because of the time of year the weather wasnt very good, so the days it rained we found ourselves very bored with nothing to do around the hotel. they had a few games going on around the bar downstairs but that wasnt very entertaining to be fair. a lot of european travellers stayed at the hotel at the time we stayed. we did enjoy a fantastic back neck and shoulder massage which will leave u feeling refreshed and chilled. i wouldnt rate it much in may because of the water park was shut and there was nothing much really going on in the area. our hotel was a 15min bus journey from the center of salou but that was no problem as the bus journey was only about 3 euro into the town. taxis are ver expensive though as they are run on meter.
we enjoyed the theme park portaventura was very fun but again didnt get to go to the waterpark as this was shut due to the time of year. all in all though hotel was very clean reception staff were very helpfull and pleasant and its a very grand hotel.
i wouldnt reccomend this hotel to youngsters out to have a good time as you need to be located in the center of salou rather than in the middle of nowhere.

Our 3rd Visit was as expected, good service, friendly staff and reasonable food. We have stayed in other hotels in the area and the food was better than most. Like the location in La Pineda as its away from all those dreadfull tacky shops and english food restaurants of Salou.
If you have travelled extensively in europe you know 4* doesnt actually meet up to UK standards but this is a really nice hotel, that is perfectly placed for Portaventura (The back Route is 5 minutes, where as the recommended 15 minutes. La Pineda is a nice little place, quiet and relaxed away from the hustle and bustle of Salou
