We stayed here for the night before the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge.
The location is approx 1/2 hour drive from the start so ideally placed.
To us it is a very expensive Premier Inn compared to many others we have stayed in but having said that the staff were excellent and the room was very clean with good, modern facilities.
We ate next door at the Brewers Fayre and to be honest we had a quite a tasty value for money meal in anticipation for the next day's activities with good service. Recommended.
Back to the hotel. The only downside was that the mattress had a lump on my side of the bed which didn't make for the most comfortable night's sleep. However I reported it to the night reception at 5am, as we were leaving to get to the event, and he promised to pass the information on to the manager. Didn't think anything would come of it but two days later there was a full refund into my bank account.
So on that point, thank you to the receptionist who took the details, the manager and Premier Inn.
I would definitely stay here again but the reason I've dropped a star overall is simply because of the cost as its expensive for a PI.

Had a pleasant 2 night stay, warmly welcomed by the receptionist on arrival, all staff members were pleasant and keen to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay.
Whilst the Inn is just off the main road, traffic noise was minimal and did not disturb our slumbers.
Bed and bathrooms were very clean, the Plasma TV was a bonus.

Spotlessly clean room and bedding the bed was VERY comfortable.Air conditioned room and the bathroom had both a bath and shower. You can get a bus right out the front of the hotel to take you into York,so this saved having to find parking in the city.

The restaurant toilets are in need of renovation and the service in the restaurant needs a good revving up by management. Not up to their usual standard. The food was going to take a long time to come and some of the stuff we wanted waas nnot available, so we wnet elsewhere. The point of staying at a Premier Inn should be that it has a relieable restaurant next to it.

We've just returned from a two night stay at this Premier Inn at Gargrave. The Premier won't disappoint as it's small, compact and spotlessly clean with friendly ladies on reception. Our room was a good size with a large flat screen TV on the wall (no BBC2) and overlooked a seating area and children's playground. The pub next door is where you have to go for breakfast and the breakfast was OK but the evening meal was very poor, it's now part of the Brewers Fayre chain, as the weather was terrible during our stay we ate in there the second night rather than go further afield.

The Premier is right alongside the canal so lovely for a walk if the weather allows. Skipton is only 4 miles away and there are a few eating places there if you want to avoid the pub.

Room Tip: I think which ever room you choose would be very quiet as room 3 was for us.

Premier Inn in Gargrave provides good quality accommodation for the price. Very clean and would appear to have been recently refurbished. Big flat screen Tv and loads of plug sockets and a USB port. Comfortable bed. Very friendly staff. Quiet. Located next to a pub which is okay for a drink but the food leaves a lot to be desired. However, a great indian restaurant in the village which is easy to walk to and lots of good restaurants (Italian, Thai, Mexican, Bistro, award winning fish and chips, etc) in Skipton only 2.5 miles away. Beside the Leeds-Liverpool canal there is a nice walk along he tow path into and beyond Gargrave. On the Pennine Way. Great location for three peaks and the Yorkshire Dales national park.

I booked this premier inn as a surprise for my husbands 40th birthday get away and it is only 2 hrs max from our home. The premier inn was as always clean and comfortable. staff always polite and sociable. i hadnt realised that the canal passed by the pi so we enjoyed walking along the canal after tea with the kids. Pi central for us we went to anfield stadium which was 1.5 hrs and also enjoyed skipton canal cruise and a walk in skipton woods. At night never heard any noise. we will be back soon.
