The Shama is, and always has been, a fairly cheap and cheerful curry house. It's not the Aagrah and don't pretend to be.
They're us a very small (4 car) car park immediately in front but to be honest it's just as easy to find street parking nearby. Inside its got seating for those wanting takeaway, plus the standard tables and chairs for those dining in. We normally get the early bird which is available at any time! Poppadom to start, a choice of mushroom pakora, mixed kebabs and a couple of others for starters, then a main course from the dopiaza, masala, madras curries etc, with chappatis or rice. All of that for £5.50. It's tasty and well prepared and while its not the absolute best curry out there, it's a good honest local curry. There is a much more extensive selection for those that want more and nothing costs that much. Our waiter this time was a little straight faced but generally everyone is very helpful.
If you want a nice curry, in nice surroundings with pleasant service, that won't break the bank, then the Shama is recommended.
