“A good pint, a decent pie, a British pub”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

We stopped in at the Wrose Bull because it was lunchtime and we were passing. It is not on a route that we would normally us so we didn't know what to expect.
What we got was very reasonable, but not special. However there was nothing bad to say, the pub does a good lunch and is certainly worth considering if you are in the area.

“Nice pub grub!”
Reviewed October 17, 2012 via mobile

I used to go to the Wrose Bull before it was a Sizzling Pub and it used to be better food, but the food is still good and has a better selection on the menu. Staff are friendly and the pub has a good atmosphere. Very busy when the football is on. It was decorated when it changed to a Sizzling pub, so is a lot more appealing now. It's great for cheap pub grub :)

“Its Become a Sizzler! What a shame”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

We often used to bob in here on our way back from Sunday shopping trips etc and there used to be good home cooked food. We stopped of last time to find it had changed to a chain which is very dissapointing as we already have Sizzler on our doorstep. The menu is identical to all others in the chain; on the plus side service seems quicker here and food was hotter and fresher. OK food, good value for money if you just want food rather than a meal out.

“Good Food - was surprised”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

We went with friends on a Saturday the pub was very busy, believe there was a birthday party happening that night. We sat on the left side of the pub where others were dining and the busy atmosphere did not spoil our enjoyment of eating in a busy pub plus the meals arrived very quickly indeed.

I was surprised by the cost £20.00 per couple plus wine for a starter and main or main and pudding, our friends choose this option and their meals looked very nice indeed and they said they did enjoy them. My husband and I selected from the main menu and had steaks which were cooked to perfection, most places when you ask for "medium rare" you get it how they want to serve it which normally spoils it for me.

We will definately eat there again.
