As it says in the title, this is an excellent place to stop at.We live on the IOM and stopped at the Port House for two nights as we where over on a shopping trip. You will not be disappointed, the place is spotless and the Breakfasts are superb. It is so good we have booked for our pre Christmas trip in September.

Nice place clean and friendly. No Lift so be prepared to navigate the stairs.
More like a B&B. It is handy for the ferry to the IOM and there is a pub less than two minutes walk which serves food.
The breakfast was very good, freshly cooked.

Room Tip: Get one overlooking the bay

We spent 3 nights at this lovely B&B. Not exactly the most picturesque of locations, but sunset view from our suite at the top of the house looking over the Irish Sea [& Heysham Docks] was amazing. Our hosts were very helpful & friendly with a lovely breakfast each morning. Our room was immaculate.
We choose this B&B as we were going across to the Isle Of Man for a very long day trip. Our ferry left at 2am and the ferry terminal is only 10mins walk from The Port House so absolutely ideal. We booked on line from Australia with no problems and the price was very reasonable.
We would definately stay here again :)

Room Tip: Room 1 [very top right of the house as you look from the street] is stunning with a huge bathroom, and lovely sitting room.

At first sight this seems to be a strange place to have a B&B as it overlooks Heysham docks and its industrial surroundings. The reality, however, is that is perfect for a stop just before travelling to the Isle of Man. It is also close to Morecambe, Lancaster, and Heysham village is walkable.
The B&B itself is modern, clean and well-appointed. The owner and his partner are very helpful and pleasant. Our large room was a converted attic with a large bathroom. We were very impressed overall.

I think the title pretty much says it all. If you need to stay in the area I wouldn't look anywhere else. We were lucky enough to have the large room/suite on the top floor. Huge space with bathroom, bedroom and then a couple of steps up to a separate area where our kids slept. We asked about a fridge for keeping baby milk in and on arrival there was a full size fridge in the room! Bed and linens very comfortable and obviously fairly new. One of the cleanest rooms I've ever been in. Owners friendly and cooked the exact breakfast my daughter requested (and 3 year olds can be picky!). Nothing too much. When we need to be in the area we won't use anywhere else going forward.
