Couldn't be bothered to cook so on way back from Blackburn stumbled accross Duckworth Hall and decided to call in. Food was really tasty but portions sizes not what we expected.
My husband had the Chilli (he is a Chilli freak) and said it was one of the nicest he has had but portion size was very small and he still felt hungry when finished.
Would definately go again as we didn't realise there was a specials board and dissappointingly this wasn't pointed out to us and only noticed it after settling the bill.

Sunday night evening meal for 10, paid the drink bill separate, when the non-itemised bill arrived, shocked to find it was £70 over the actual amount. When we questioned the amount we were disgusted with the attitude of the manageress who highlighted we had not actually paid yet, so what was the problem. Left a sour taste to the evening. Make sure you check your bill!!!!!!!!!! Staff very friendly pity about the bill......

On Wednesday 5th December after a day of Xmas shopping we decdid to call into the Duckworth Hall for tea time meal we ordered mince & onion pie and asked for extra gravy, a very small gravy boat came with our meal, when we asked for the bill we were shocked to find we had been charged £2.00 for a drop of gravy very dissapointed. As we have been many times to the pub i think they could this this extra for a very small charge. From Darwen

good food, adequate portions and good value for money. Introduced by a friend and is now a convenient restaurant for a mid-week visit.
