My second stay. Front desk frequently overloaded. Long waits but often very helpful. Breakfast remains included in room rate but slight decline in high quality over course of the year from summer 2013 to summer 2014. Worst change was addition of hefty extra charge to use fitness center since March 2014. Last stay fitness center use was included. Cleaners were great but sometimes failed to replenish toiletries like soap, shampoo and conditioner. Excellent free WiFi. Excellent TV channel selection. Mini fridge in room was helpful. No microwave. Water was tepid this stay. Normal temp. in 2013. Wonderful view persists. Free newspapers in both languages. However personally I will stay elsewhere where gym is included in the room rate.

Room Tip: Very closeby is a wonderful outdoor picnic place "Boule & Bersa" Serves great food and...

We recently stayed in the family room at elite hotel. The hotel is in a good location overlooking the water and only a short boat ride from the city. The rooms and building generally were what a.is to be expected from a high end hotel and the staff were very helpful and friendly, in typical Swedish fashion. The hotel also provided free WiFi as you would expect and a wide variety of subscription TV channels. There were however a few major downfalls that reduced the score of this review from 4 to 3 stars. The first was he waits at reception, it was often busy so I would recommend hiring more receptionists. Secondly the windows were very narrow and high meaning the room was dark and the view was hard and awkward to see. The other thing was bathroom had only a shower curtain, instead of a glass screen. While I can see this arrangement may be good for people with a disability or restricted movement this might be good for us it was a major drawback for a 4 star hotel. Not only is it a bit ugly, it also means that water goes everywhere. Also the bed covers were too small to comfortably cover two people in the double beds. So its ok, and the TV selection was great, but consider all these points before making a selection

I spent 4 nights at this hotel with my 9 year old son and we had a great time. The hotel is situated in the outskirts of the city center but there is a boat stopping just outside the hotel which takes you into the city center in approximately 20 minutes. The boat ride goes past Skansen and Gröna Lund and in my opinion the ride is an attraction itself as long as the weather is nice. Room was spacious, good beds and generally everything was tip top during our stay. Awesome breakfast in the morning.

I spent a great two nights at this hotel in June 2014. It's not in the city centre and there are not many (if any) shops and restaurants nearby, but I enjoyed that. It was a nice, peaceful area on the waterfront with great views of the nearby theme park. It was lovely to come back each night from the busy city and relax in such a beautiful setting. Travelling to and from here was very simple, buses and boats were very regular and not too badly priced either. The rooms were beautiful and had the comfiest bed's I've ever slept in. I had such a great night's sleep every night as the hotel is so quiet and you don't seem to hear a peep out of the other guests. The breakfast had such a great selection too, you'd have to be really fussy not to like anything there! Great gluten free selection too which made my life a lot easier. I don't have a bad word to say about this hotel at all and staying here was such a pleasure. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

We spent a great few days at this hotel. We had debated long and hard about whether to stay in the city centre or not but decided to stay out on the water. We were pleased we did. It is easy and inexpensive to catch the ferry and it is not difficult to walk over to sodermalm. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and well equipped and the beds very comfortable. It is a good idea to pay for a view of the water even if the windows are narrow. The breakfast selection is huge. We had one evening meal in the hotel - one of the best burgers ever - and many drinks. The prices are standard for Stockholm. It is hard to get a snack - eg bag of crisps - as there isn't much in the minibar and there appear to be no shops at all in the immediate area! The staff are without exception friendly and helpful and a real credit to the hotel. We didn't go into the spa - I object to paying to go in to the gym when a guest at a hotel!

I was very lucky staying here. It wasn't my first choice, I normally prefer to stay more centrally, close to Stuureplan. However, on this occasion Stockholm was full with a major conference, so this was the best I could find. And it was the best.
I was extremely lucky to get the room at the top of the tower. To describe it as the penthouse suite doesn't do it justice. It is really one large space, with several areas - sleeping, working, relaxing - that occupies the top floor of the tower. And then a spiral staircase that goes up inside the room to the space that makes it really special, the flat roof of the tower. You come up into a small glass sided room, with comfortable seating, heating, and a drinks area with a sink, then outside you have more seating and 360º views across the harbour. (see the photos attached). I watched the sun go down in the evening, and (following a very good nights sleep) the morning light.
This is a room (or suite) that you would have to travel very far to find the like of. Stockholm has that lovely city-on-the-water that you get in parts of San Francisco and Mumbai (I was reminded of the views from the old tower rooms at the Taj in Mumbai), and this is perhaps the best vantage point to view Stockholm across the harbour.
I should also complement the hotel on the quality of the service. The night porter who was on duty when I arrived was the most friendly and professional that I have met in a long time (and travelling as much as I do I meet a lot of night porters).
And the food. I ate at the hotel one evening, and had an excellent dish of fish with asparagus and a nettle sauce. Wonderful.
And the Spa. If you have time, you shouldn't miss the Spa, for its architecture and design. Really lovely.
If you can get the room, it'll make your trip to Stockholm. It would be ideal to have drinks with friends on the terrace on top. But even if you can't, this is really not bad at all.

Stayed here for two nights on business recently. Very friendly staff at reception but in the restaurant for breakfast they closed rather quickly with not a lot of time to grab something to east just after 09:30. A small issue made up for by the quality of the bedroom - excellent!
Just 20 minutes to the city centre by boat with regular running times.
Plenty of space in the lobby to meet with people and friendly bar staff. This hotel is also ideal for leisure - overall a very good stay!
