Reviewed June 3, 2014

We arrived after a long day travelling to be offered a glass of lemonade. We then had an impromptu welcome speech from the reception teram manager, in German. We were told our room number but pretty much left to go to it by ourselves. Our cases arrived a couple of minutes later and we were shown round our room. In fact we had booked a suite, what a brilliant decision. Our room was large but the terrace was twice the size with tables, chairs, sunbeds and a jacuzzi.

The only down side was the food. There is only so much chicken, beef and or fish you can cook before it looks the same. And at times the food was not too hot and in some cases due to pressure of time it looked undercooked. I asked for an omelette and it was made in 30 seconds, perhaps just a little too quickly.

Recommend it, yes but go for the suite, it costs a little more but it is really worth it!

We've just returned after our 2nd visit to this fabulous hotel. Nothing is to much trouble for hotel management and staff who go out of their way to please. The rooms are airy, well maintained and spotlessly clean. When it comes to food there is a fantastic selection to choose from and they try to cater for everyone whatever nationality. Although the Hotel was fully booked during our stay it never felt that way. No long queues for food, no trips to the pool still the crack of dawn putting towels on beds and no long waits at the bars for drinks. This hotel caters for everyone and I would certainly use it again and recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

I just want to say what an amazing holiday/wedding we had at paloma pasha. Me and my parter researched a lot of hotels as it was for our special day and we had 18 guests so we wanted something for everyone. Paloma pasha was just perfect from the moment we walked into reception to moment we left.

The food was lovely, lots of different choices. They also had a Turkish night which was so good (the best kebab ever). So many cakes to choose from as well.

They have a kids club and activities all day, including archery and table tennis. Martin looks after all of the activities, he also does weekly walks around ozdere up in the mountains at no extra cost, he also speaks a lot of different languages.

The photographer hus took beautiful pictures of us and our family on our big day (the quality of the pictures is great).

Emma who is the customer retaliations manager is amazing. She organised our whole wedding including flowers, hairdressers and decorations. She made us feel very calm and relaxed. She went above and beyond what I would expect from a customer relations manager.

Our thomas cook rep Kyley was exceptionally good. She is such a lovely kind lady and even on her day off came and skyped my family back in England so they could watch the wedding.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you are looking to get married or just a chilled out holiday. It really was the best holiday we have had. The hotel is so clean, rooms are modern and staff are so friendly.

We can't wait to return :-)

Fasten your seatbelts, this could be a VERY long review!
We, as a family of four, with children aged 13 and 10, stayed at the Paloma Pasha for a week in May.
We have never been to a hotel more than once but we feel so blessed to have found our special piece of paradise.
We love everything about it.
Our family suite: two large, comfortable, beautiful rooms with two bathrooms (a must when you have a teenage daughter who takes hours to get ready!) and two balconies.
The mini bar is restocked daily with beer, water, fruit juice and fizzy drinks and there are tea and coffee making facilities.
One of our bathrooms has a bath with a hand-held shower, the other a monsoon shower. Toiletries are provided and replenished when needed. The main bedroom has a huge, comfy bed and in the children’s room there’s two double sofa beds which were made up prior to our arrival. There’s plenty of room to walk around and lots of wardrobe and cupboard space. The rooms are kept immaculate and our lovely maid Beser left us some beautiful towel art on the bed each day. She always had a smile on her face as she greeted us. We taught her a little English “have a good day” and she taught us a little Turkish in return!
The pool: meanders all the way around the hotel and never seems busy. We often saw maintenance men cleaning it late at night or early in the morning. There’s a slide pool which is away from the main pool, which is open from 11am to 12noon and 3-4pm. Our girls (and dad) love this. It’s a real sun-trap here so I always make the girls wear lots of sun cream and their long-sleeved sun tops, which doesn’t make me popular but stops them getting burnt! There’s also a small children’s pool with a pirate ship slide.
Kids’ club: Run by the hotel. Our girls used it last year for the first time as there were English speaking staff. They didn’t bother this year as they met lots of friends to keep them busy. The resort is very safe and our girls loved being able to go off with their friends and have fun and we knew they were ok.
Weather: Perfect blue skies, 29/30 degrees every day. No rain, a welcome breeze.
Hotel setting: On a picturesque small, sandy beach with a backdrop of mountains to the local town of Ozdere. The sea is shallow and safe and watersports are on offer. Pedaloes and canoes are free, motorised sports are chargeable. The guys running them are very pleasant and helpful and everyone is provided with a safety jacket before entering the sea.
The hotel is stunningly designed and one of the main reasons we chose it. It’s only a few years old and there are no signs of wear and tear as it is well kept up to and there’s always somebody around sweeping and cleaning up.
The terrace bar is amazing during the day or on an evening with huge cushioned chairs and settees with fabulous views of the Aegean coast.
The food: Wow! I don’t think I have enough superlatives to describe it. We have always loved the food but this year was even better.
Breakfast: A range of cheese, ham, fruit, breads, cereal, pancakes, pastries, freshly-cooked omelettes, boiled eggs, porridge, scrambled eggs and delicious honey straight from the comb. This year with more British guests in the hotel there was bacon, Heinz baked beans, fried mushrooms and tomatoes which they haven’t had previous years. A couple of fruit juices are on offer and there’s a coffee machine or the waiters serve tea and coffee to your table. My first breakfast was smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and a glass of bubbly. Only had the bubbly the first day though, couldn’t have managed that every morning!
Lunch is served in Meandros, the open-air restaurant (which becomes Ada the fish a la carte in the evenings). This is our favourite. There’s an amazing array of salads, freshly-baked bread, a choice of two soups each day, rotisserie chicken and a selection of hot and cold meat and fish dishes. The waiters work very hard to keep everyone’s glasses topped up, plates cleared away and tables cleaned. When I’m sitting there, eating delicious food, enjoying a chilled glass of wine, hearing the sea lap against the beach, I have to pinch myself! There’s a lovely atmosphere. Our girls enjoy the ice cream which is served in cones and it’s a bit of a competition to see who can manage the most scoops!
Meandros becomes a snack bar in the afternoon with pizza, burgers, chips, salad, doughnuts, pastries, desserts and fruit provided.
Evening meal is served in the main dining room and you can eat inside or out. Again there is a wonderful selection, all served piping hot and the plates are hot too. I agree with other reviewers, the best idea is to have a wander round the various food stations first and see what you fancy otherwise the food you have already placed on your plate is going cold before you decide to add more to it. If this does happen, there’s a microwave. Problem solved! The Turkish and seafood themed nights are fantastic.
We have eaten at a lot of top-class restaurants and we won’t settle for second best. This hotel has to cater for different nationalities so some of the dishes may not be to your taste but lots of others will be.
My only grievance is that we would like to see “smoking” and “non-smoking” areas in the outdoor restaurants. As non-smokers we get a little upset when we are eating our meal and the people at the next table are blowing smoke in our faces and food. It’s inconsiderate.
There are three a la cartes. Seasons international, which has an Italian slant to it and the food is very tasty. Safran serves Turkish food and we love the décor and service in here. Ada is the fish restaurant which we didn’t visit this year but other guests said was lovely. There’s also a barbecue, which is chargeable, but we haven’t been to that.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth the desserts have stepped up a gear this year and are in abundance at lunch and dinner. The patisserie, open in an afternoon, is incredible. You can select whatever you like from delicious pieces of gateau to chocolate profiteroles in a glass to dainty chocolate cups, decorated with love hearts and filled with moist sponge, mousse and fresh fruit. Enjoyed with a cappuccino, we thought we were in heaven!
The food hygiene at the Pasha is outstanding. We went on a guided tour of the kitchens led by Martin Muller the Entertainments Manager (more of him later) and were so impressed with the cleanliness, attention to detail and the dedication of the staff working long hours in hot conditions. We had a whole new respect for the food.
We all donned our hair nets and shoe covers to adhere to the strict rules and were amazed to hear there are 15 staff working on the food hygiene side alone, constantly checking the high standards of health and safety are met. The kitchens were spotless and there were separate rooms for fish and meat preparation and raw and cooked foods. We were very impressed.
Entertainment: The main shows this year – the ones we saw were Turkish dancers, Latino performers and a Ukrainian group of acrobats, were held in the downstairs entertainment room, though once the main season gets going they hold the shows at the amphitheatre. There’s games in and out of the pool and it’s up to you if you want to join in. There’s no pressure. Martin is full of energy and runs the animations team with great enthusiasm. As well as his kitchen tour we went on a trip to the Saturday market in Ozdere and a local mosque with him, (about a 15 minute walk). The market is amazing and well-worth a visit to see all the fresh fruit, veg and spices as well as the clothes and souvenirs. Ugur, also an animator, is a lovely chap and was good with the children. There’s a games room for the kids with x-boxes, computers with internet, (we found the hotel’s wifi connection was great), air hockey and a pool table. Additional entertainment is held in the terrace bar with a singer and musicians, on Thursdays there’s “White Night” with a disco and a cocktail maker throwing bottles around and breathing fire! Some nights there’s a piano player in the lobby bar who is so talented. I loved ordering a cocktail and sitting listening to him.
The staff: We have never found a team of staff so hard-working and friendly as at the Paloma Pasha. Everyone from the lifeguards to the maintenance staff and the waiters to the managers are pleasant and polite. Martin, who is German and his English wife Emma, who is guest relations manager, are an absolute asset to the hotel and they are lucky to have them. Both helpful, cheerful and very dedicated. They are also among the main reasons we keep returning to this hotel. Ugur, who was our waiter in Meandros at lunchtime and sometimes in the main dining room on an evening, was an absolute gentleman and gave fabulous service. He tried so hard to speak English to us. My husband spoke a little Turkish and Ugur was impressed! The lovely Tutku is always on hand at breakfast and greets us with his smile. He also served us in the Seasons and Safran restaurants this year and we always have a laugh with him. His English is also very good. He has been there each of the three years we have visited and we are always happy to see him when we return. So many of the staff recognised us this year and thanked us for coming back. We really do feel like part of the Pasha family.
In our opinion, this is definitely a 5* hotel. It’s the little touches like the waiters who deliver cups of coffee with Baileys to you round the pool in the mornings and cold fruit slush and melon or pineapple in the afternoons, which make it first-class.
We can’t wait to go back to our special hotel.
Thank you everyone at the Paloma Pasha, our holidays keep getting better, from Sharon, Nick, Georgina and Olivia xxxx

Wonderful hotel but lacking that bit "extra" for a 5*.
We had a fantastic time at Paloma Pasha, We were there for my Daughter Jenni's wedding which was "mostly" well organised. I was a little put out that when you ask for Champagne for the wedding at around 10EUR a bottle - ok we know it's not going to be fantastic - only to find it's the same product that you're already paying for in your All Inclusive...! Maybe it is because they serve it to you on the pier....mmmmm nope. there were around 3/4 waiters on the pier, plus one or 2 managers, and apart from a couple of times when they served people most of the time our guests had to go to the mobile bar themselves. Even when the ceremony was over these guy's just stood there......very strange and very frustrating for the Father of the bride. As for the wedding package cost I'm still not sure what you get for it as only a few things are included, everything else is extra..........!
As for the wedding photographer, Huse (well that's how you pronounce it, no idea how to spell it) he and his team were fantastic and would do anything you asked, that's if you could find an angle or picture they hadn't already done, but make sure you do a deal with him....!!! If you are fair, honest and polite with him you will be fine. Jenni is over the moon with the quality and quantity.
The bar and waiter service is poor for a 5* and we discussed this with Martin (Animation manager, gret guy), they collect your glasses and don't ask if you would like another drink - in the whole week I was only asked once if I wanted a drink and that was when I was sitting chatting with Martin and he asked the young lady to get us some more drinks. Then would you believe when the young lady returned to collect glasses she just walked away without asking, we were lost for words.
At the Piano bar you can wait for ages for a drink and they often have staff that do not understand and even if they do understand they don't know how to prepare your order.
As mentioned by another reviewer the White Party was absolutely fanatastic (we didn't realise but most people where WHITE this night), if you like loud dance music which even at 53 yrs old I do, it was rocking until some poor lady fell over, split her head open and had to go to hospital but after a few stiches she was back the next day. The staff were very good at looking after her, Martin was on hand, and the ambulance was there very quickly.
The restaraunt can be a little chaotic as well, similar to a cattle market. My son often had to wait 10 minutes for a high-chair for my grandson. However all the staff were very, very friendly and talkative to young George, they loved him and always made a fuss of him.
This may sound like a massive whinge but it's not, this is a fantastic place and I agree with most of the positive comments made by other reviewers.
Whilst the food may not always be to ones liking you cannot fault the variety and very often there is a "specials night" when there is an unbelieveable selection of exotic dishes.
The rooms are beautiful but it's worth the extra to face the pool/sea, we had one facing the hills, whilst not too bad it is very noisy early in the mornings with Trades people, oh and the local cockeral LOL. If you are getting married you may even get an upgrade to suite, like Jenni and Manny did - now you're talking plush, very nice indeed - George loved his Aunties jaccuzi LOL.
We went on two trips whilst we were there which my partner organised, one was a trip to Ephisus, this is a must, seven of us made our own way there on a Dolmus bus then took a taxi to see the house of the Virgin Mary then to Ephisus - ok it might not have been in luxury but it was a laugh and altogether cost us around £18 each where as Thomas Cook wanted £45 per person (just ask reception how to get there it's easy). Make sure you employ the services of a guide, they have official tags roundtheir necks, we had Davus, without a guide you're just looking at a load of rocks and columns, it's a must.
The other trip was a day on a boat to an island and to see some caves (very small ones) that have very, very hot water in them. They collected us from the hotel in a nice bus, food and drink for lunch was included and all for 18EUR, again much less than Thomas Cook, ask Martin where the tour company is located in the town.
The town market is a must, I think it is on Tuesdays and Saturdays (deff Saturdays as that's when we went), very good quality fake designer T shirts and I mean VERY good quality. There is so much to see on there but don't pay the first price on the first stall, shop around....
All in all this is a great place to have a holiday, everything is good quality and is in a fantastic setting overlooking the Agean Sea - our pictures of the wedding are amazing - even my Iphone ones.
I would deffinitely not hesitate to go to this hotel again - need another holiday now..........haha

Room Tip: As mentioned in the comments, pay the extra for a sea/pool view. But remember if you are of a certai...
