we stayed at the pasha 7th /21st sept and had an amazing tome.hotel is very modern, set in beautiful gardens just outside ozdere. room was excellent, not sea view but rooms at rear are bigger so no problem overlooking gardens and forest.pool area spectacular, beach narrow but water is shallow and calm,adult/quite decking is a plus as well. staff were all friendly although french and german guests seem to get better treatment off some staff ,maybe due to lack of english within the staff.barman evren on the terrace is a star, he made our evenings, promote him to teach others how a good barman should work.drinks were a good standard, some known brands.everyone mentions emma, she is the paloma pasha, heart and soul, many thanks to her.the food!!,this is where we struggled.my chef wife and i thought the food was cooked well tasty and well presented ,but no imagination,it was the same fare everyday ,lunchtimes never varied at all and although evenings had themes it was basically the same ,tasty well cooked but the same.vary the food and you will be up with the best.overall, a great trip and would possibly return one day

Room Tip: back rooms bigger ,sea view smaller

spent 11great nights the only thing I could complain about is it was not long enough. The staff were very friendly and helpful, although the tables could have been cleared after use each time but a polite request and it was soon done. The room was spacious we had one looking over the rear of the hotel by the main entrance and the mountains it was lovely and quite except at 5am we had dawn prayer from down in the village wake us. the village of ozdere is very quiet but with several shops to wander round, Saturdays is market day and is well worth a look especially for the fake goods and bartering with the stall holders. Back to the hotel, the rooms have a mini bar stocked every day with 2 bottles beer and soft drinks the room is cleaned every day and towel changed if left on the floor, beach towel can be changed at reception or they are changed every 3days in your room, there is a room safe and tv to watch. The pool area never had a shortage of loungers what ever time of the day only the beach seemed to get full as this was not very big. we went on one trip which was the ancient town of ephesus this was well worth the half day visit with a trip to a pottery center after. The down side of the holiday was the airport, landed went through customs then had to wait over an hour for our luggage which seemed to arrive on 3 different baggage arrivals we left some people still waiting not knowing which one to look at. On returning we had a 2hr delay and with only one very expensive duty free to go round it was a very long 2hrs.This was a very wonderful and relaxing holiday for both of us in hot pleasant surroundings to which we would return too.

Room Tip: There are no bad rooms

Never wrote a review before done a fair bit of travelling returned home tonight after 11 days.
The hotel and staff superb the location ideal the service free wi fi free safe fridge filled every day .
You didn't want for anything even down to beach towels.food and service 5 star.
The only complaint the small town of ozdere is very quiet no night life so. Why doesn't the hotel provide entertainment after 11pm ok there's a night club for thr younger end but for the main age group something a bit more lively instead of the same all the time .
I was glad I went to the palmora well warrents 5 stars

Doesn’t quite tick all the boxes

68 Year Old Teenage Geriatric who missed the fun factor of previous hotels in Turkey.

I still can not get my head round holiday makers who award top marks and then find problems.

So here goes on which i feel is an honest review about this holiday & hotel.

Travel
Good flight no hassle with immigration, private transfer (Proper Cars reasonably priced you can find them on the net)

Arrival & Reception.
Welcomed by Emma Mullar guest relations who i had been in contact ref certain requests for our wedding anniversary. Reception staff professional and polite. Transfer to our room smooth with Emma in tow making sure that we were happy.

Bedroom
On entering the room which had been specially laid out by housekeeping on Emma's instruction was a nice touch. (flowers, champagne, fruit, two mini bags holding Dove toiletries and two Paloma T Shirts)

On booking I asked for a standard double room on a high floor, which was top dollar even though it was at the back of the hotel overlooking the mountains and village it is quiet and at no extra cost. After talking to some of the other guests who had booked poolside rooms and terrace suites we feel that we got the best deal.

The amount of space in the room and balcony was excellent, with a king-size double bed, plenty of wardrobe space Including a safe which is free.

Mini Bar topped up daily. Wasn’t keen on the bottled beer, but you can get
EFES at the Lobby Bar if you require a drink on the Balcony. The floor is marble which is easy to clean and maintain, plus its hygienically friendly

Bathroom
Spotless, Hairdryer, More than sufficient towels including beach towels changed daily. Bathrobes, & toiletries in abundance

Walk-in Shower with the best power shower you could wish for. Be careful it is mainly all glass.

Restaurants& Food
Main Restaurant
Air conditioned well designed plenty of dining space food counters well laid out. Waiting staff professional & polite.

Food
If i never see another piece of chicken again it will be two soon i didn’t think there were so many ways to cook it and at times destroy it.

Koftas, meat balls, i could go on about the receptiveness but i think it would just fall on deaf ears. It is so easy to do a two week menu cycle to avoid this and the guests on a two week stay wouldn’t have to experience what they are doing at this moment in time, however i feel that a lot of food is used more than once especially salads

BBQ’s, ladies don’t get dressed up for dinner and have pre dinner drinks on the Terrace bar if you do you will experience a large amount of black smoke.

Having been in the food and beverage trade for fifty years i thought i would share my experience with the chef. A simple water bottle to douse the coals once the embers are up an running. All to no avail. Emma said smoke was expected at BBQ,s in Turkey.

Simple rules of a restaurant hot food hot plates, cold food cold plate you don’t expect your ice cream to melt as soon as it touches the plate. Again this concern fell on deaf ears.

There were theme nights but the majority of the food still stayed the same. Fish night was very good. If you are going to call a steak an entrecote (sirloin) don’t try an bluff the guest by serving a piece of shoe leather

Lunch/ Snack Bar
Probably the weakest link in the chain.

More repetitive and poorly cooked than the main restaurant. Poorly laid out and congested the majority of the time. Furniture the poorest i have seen in all my visits to Turkey. Small wooden table and chairs that need a good coat of paint chequered tablecloths that looked as if they had seen better days. Even though it was nearing the end of the season it is still not acceptable for the rating that the hotel has been given.

Waiting for tables to be cleaned before you could sit down, supervisors in white and blue shirts walking around with an air of importance as if it was above them to assist their staff. Majority of the young staff polite and professional the odd percent need to be assisted and supervised more.

Hamburgers, hotdogs waffles, doughnuts served late afternoon for the guests who feel that eating 24/7 is the most important part of the holiday

Hot and cold beverages provided by the snack for pool area.

Patisserie
As good a variety of pastries and cakes as you could get good eating quality, visually attractive and presented.

Bars
Lobby/Piano Bar .
Adjacent to reception. Large clean rectangular bar good selection of drinks, but ensure that you stipulate the international brand that you want even in your cocktails. Staff can be hit and miss. Floor staff also serve a section of the terrace bar the wait at times can be frustrating purely because management haven’t thought out there logistics. Again like the restaurant cold drinks in hot glasses.

Jazz bar
Only open on certain nights don’t know why it is called the jazz bar didn’t see any jazz, only karaoke

Terrace bar
The hub of the hotel. The main problem lack of floor & bar staff some nights run of there feet, however bar management did help on more than one occasion. Having said that very professional and hard working.

Animation/Entertainment
Friendly but a big let down for me and my wife at one stage we thought we were on a SAGA holiday. No fun factor, animation needs a complete overhaul acts in the amphitheater brought in from outside and not performed by the team like other hotels. Maybe i have been spoilt by other hotels like Limak Arcadia, The Cornelia Diamond in Belek, and hotels on Lara Beach. Main problem for families is the trek to the theatre especially with a buggy

Music in the terrace bar doesn’t set the place alive and the closing at eleven i half expected a cup of cocoa
. Good backroom or disco music would not go amiss. I know what you are going to say that the rooms overlooking the bar will be at an inconvenience. Sorry that’s were management earn there money

I don’t know what the white night is supposed to achieve

The plus in all this is the way that the kids are catered for.

Apart from water polo and a form of aquatic aerobics there is no daft games round the pool to get all nationalities integrated.

Piano
What a waste you would have been better of with again good backroom music.

Pool areas
As good as you can get, clean and well maintained plenty, of beds and pods (posh round Settees) no early runs required.

The pool is large well maintained and intertwines with the shape of the hotel. life guard on site

Kids pool area v good and safe.

Beds on the grass area is an excellent alternative, slightly shaded by palm trees and over looking the small beach and bay

Small hatch for cold drinks.

Melon, ice cream and fruit are provide on certain days in the afternoon while you sunbathe a nice touch.

Beach
Blue Flag long and narrow, safety aspects v good life guard on site majority is sand and gradually shelving.

Pontoon
Quiet plenty of beds, good swimming and snorkeling depth. Beverage facilities soft and alcoholic (Beer) self service.

Location
Quiet with little to do outside the hotel. Small village with a main road running through it

To Close
I could not understand that there were no staff tip boxes in the different sections like other hotels. That way every body gets a share, and if you think a member of staff has gone above and beyond this then by all means reward him or her how you see fit.

For example the member of staff who serves in the beach hatch and the guy who collects glasses round the pool and serves the melon & ice cream, doesn’t feel left out and he knows that his efforts are being appreciated & rewarded. A good lesson in HRM wouldn't go amiss I addressed the issue with Emma and she said it couldn’t be controlled. I find this hard to believe. How do other hotels do it, plus it can become expensive if you feel that they all deserve something and that includes housekeeping (tips on average over two wks 120 euros)

Just a few of the many.

Emma I cant thank you enough for what you did to make our stay enjoyable and that the hotel take the observations as constructive and not criticism for the better of future guests. If only all the staff showed your commitment. I also think you should ask for a clothing allowance to portray the importance of your position and that you stand out from all the others in waistcoats.

Enjoy the rest of the season

We have just returned from a great holiday at the Paloma Pasha. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and treated courteously by all the staff especially Emma. We arrived late in the evening but it didn't matter as our cases were whisked away and we were taken to the restaurant to have a meal. Later we found our room and couldn't believe how lovely it was with a beautiful view from the balcony. The room was always clean with the minibar being replenished each day. Food was freshly cooked, there was a variety of salads and wonderful sweets, especially the baklavas. We took a taxi to Kusadasi which was good, he waited for us and returned us to the Pasha. There are plenty of beds around the swimming pool and on the beach with beach towels supplied. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room are very welcome. Entertainment is good and always enjoyable. Plenty of room to sit and relax with a drink, the chairs are so comfortable that you really do not want to move. Even on leaving we were wished a safe journey by the staff. A wonderful hotel with everything you could wish for to have a fantastic holiday. Will certainly be going back

Room Tip: The 2nd and 3rd floors have bigger balconies than those on higher floors
