This hotel is amazing. I cannot fault it. If you are thinking about it - just book!!

The staff are all amazing they are friendly and ready to help out anytime. I never found the service to be slow - much the opposite. Waiters always ready and willing to get you another drink, topping up wine at dinner etc. Terrace bar staff and piano bar staff are incredible. Hotel was at max occupancy whilst we were there and it never once felt like it. The bar staff were so fast and still friendly.

Food was excellent. Always a great selection but always the pasta pizza chips for those that want that. Ice cream lady is so friendly and brilliant with children.

We had room 317 for 2 weeks from July 9th. Rooms were alway clean, smart and exactly what you want in a relaxing 5 star. The showers are brilliant. We had a sea view room - definatelty worth it. Maids excellent.

Mine and Magalie the guest relations lady were amazing. Always around to help if needed.

The special treats for our anniversary were a lovely touch and even in the a la carte resteraunt we were specially treated so it must have been organised without us realising as we did not tell the waiters!

Pool brilliant the only suggestion I would make would be for either more sun loungers or for the lifeguards/staff to take towels off the beds if they have been empty for 2 hours or more as many people left towels all day and didn't appear untill 5ish in the afternoon - very selfish when hotel is busy.

Cannot fault this hotel. We loved everything about it and would love to return soon.

This hotel was spotless and very well maintained. A very relaxing hotel. The food was good but after a fortnight does get a bit repetative. The same would be said for most hotels. The other resteraunts on site were good but you can only have one visit per week. So basically if you are there for 2 weeks you get 2 visits in the fortnight to 2 of the other resteraunts. I had been told if they are not busy you can have a return visit! Ozdere is quite traditional and is a residential area, so it is not a holiday resort as such, but for those preferring a get away from it all this is perfect. The bedrooms were very spacious and clean. Pool excellant and not too busy. Positive side is this hotel is not large (240ish rooms) therefore it never seems too busy.

Downside to the hotel is the service. It can take a while to be served your drinks when sitting down at a table. This is something that I would imagine they will address with training for staff less experienced. Simple solution was to ask for your drinks at the bar and take them to your table. although I appreciate this is not something you should be expected to do in a 5* hotel!

I would recommend this hotel for individuals who are looking for a relaxing break away.
I would give this hotel another visit next year and hopefully their teething problems will have been ironed out.

Just returned from a week at the Paloma Pasha lots of great things about this hotel.
We arrived at the hotel after a 40min bus ride on a small uncomfortable bus, some of the cases had to go on the bus and the storage space was too small!!

Once at the hotel we had a terrace suite which was lovely, loved the room it made the holiday special. Free room service, fresh fruit everyday and cake delivered to your room in the afternoon, towels changed twice a day (beware if your showering about 7pm as the come in to change the towels).

While at the hotel we had room service a few times always very good but the lady on the phone doesnt speak much English so its hard work to order. They need the person on the phone to be fluent in languages.

We loved the big bed in the room, and Jacuzzi once we found out how to work it. No information in the room on how to work the jacuzzi or steam room had to ask the porter.

Mini bar man comes every afternoon but you need to be there or you only get one of everything, no good if you fancy a few beers in your room. We just asked for more and he delivered.

As usual hardly anything English on the TV except the News, who wants to watch that when your on holiday!

First few nights found the waiter service in the main restaurant awful, waited ages for cutlery as it was busy and then almost finished dinner before the drink arrived, they speak hardly any English so it makes it really difficult. They just say OK and disappear. We found a good waiter and sat in his area each night he always remembered the wine. The food was excellent no complaints always found something nice to eat, loved the desserts too. If anything I think they need more waiters and self serve beer, wine and soft drinks at dinner as in most all inclusives I've been too.

We spent most evenings at the outside bar, and we were well looked after by an excellent waitress called Elmas, her English is good along with many other languages and she always remembered our drinks each night. Bar well stocked but no Barcardi for me so had to drink Havana - not my fav. Wifi is free and worked in the lobby and outside at the bar so great to surf while boozing.

Didnt bother watching the entertainment as its not our thing but there's a beach party once a week make sure you go to this.

Lobby bar was OK, but try to avoid the ladies toilets in the lobby the drains always smelt disgusting.

The main negatives about this hotel are the waiter staff in the restaurant, lots of people complained about them, and the sunbeds, if you want to sit by the pool you need to be up before 8am to get a sunbed. No one stops people reserving them in the early hours with towels, if you've got a terrace room who cares!! we used our sunbeds on the terrace most days.

Our rep John seemed good didnt see him much but thats the way we prefer it, plenty of information in the lobby so we found everything out we needed from the Thomas cook folder.

If we go back we will always book a terrace suite.

our stay in this hotel a 5 star, barely a 3 star for the money was robbery.the bar service was very poor , i did the british way i got my own.the entertainment was rubbish, the food was for the german&french guests.the so called beach was so tiny you could just fit a sunbed on,i complained to two managers without success,i am home now and still waiting for them to get back to me, maybe in another lifetime eh.the only highlight was the service in the restaurant from sara the waitress nothing was too much i reccomend that this young lady should be promoted to a manergerial position, because she would do a better job than the people that are already in place.

This was a very comfortable clean hotel with a excellent selection of food to choose from and i doubt if any one goes home disappointed with this aspect of their stay. Unfortunately for us the service in the restaurants, out on the terrace or at the 24hour bar at peak times was very disappointing. The evening entertainment was pretty poor but you have to bear in mind it's geared towards French and German guests. Our stay was made a lot more pleasant by meeting a lovely couple (Terry & Sue) although it's fair to say there were quite a few Brits staying here.
The resort of Ozdere is small but in a pleasant location and only about 40 mins from the Airport. It is only about 40 minutes away also from the must see ancient city of Ephesus so for the poor traveller a good choice.
All in all enjoyed it, but won't be going back.
P.S. The staff were very friendly but beware the guy who tops up your mini bar as he knocks and enters without you having time to react !

Just returned from the resort. Stayed from 2nd July to the 9th in a terrace suite. Great accommodation and worth the extra money.
Not really anything bad to say at all. Kemal in the spa was great and all the staff and treatments excellent. Mine (customer services) and her french colleague were very helpful. A little too restrictive on the speciality restaurants if the letters of the law are followed, but a great resort, friendly and helpful staff (especially Mustafa in the bar) and worthy of the 5 stars it holds. A nice touch for staff from all the departments to wave the bus away, including the general manager. Steve and Jan Bell.

We have just returned from a great two weeks at the Paloma Pasha.

We flew with Thomas Cook from Manchester. For a change we had good flight times both ways. Usually to Turkey they are at silly hours of the night. The flight time of three and a half hours was also a bonus.
Obtaining entry visas and passport checks at Izmir airport were done quickly and efficiently and we were sat on our transfer coach in no time at all. Unfortunately that's when we had our first hiccup. We had to wait about 45 minutes for planes from Newcastle and Birmingham to arrive before we could set off.

On arrival at the hotel we were given a cold drink and were quickly checked in.
We had booked a pool side room and wow we were not disappointed!
Large room, super king size bed, flat screen tv, fridge with beer and soft drinks, and a great bathroom with a walk in shower.
We could have done with a few more hangers and more than 2 drawers in the room but we managed.
Through the patio doors were two well cushioned sunbeds and within about 15 feet, the pool!

Bearing in mind the hotel has to cater to the tastes of many different nationalities, the food in both the main restaurant and pool bar was very good. Breakfast was not my favourite meal. Being a Brit I always miss my bacon and sausages! The toaster caused a few laughs. A very basic two sliced one is provided to cater for around 600 people! However there were always hot croissants and waffles available so perhaps I am being over critical.
We used two of the A la carte restaurants, Seasons and Saffron. It was great to be waited on!

The beach and pools got a little crowded but we always found a sunbed when we needed one.
The free use of pedalos and kayaks was really good. Its surprising how far you can get from shore without trying too hard. So remember to take a couple of bottles water with you and slap on some suncream!

We enjoyed the walk along the shore to Ozdere. There isn't a great deal to see there but the locals are friendly and don't pester to get you into their shops. The local Saturday market in Ozdere is a great. Really interesting and if you are looking for Genuine Fake Teeshirts, (they are actually really quite good). Leave some room in your suitcase!
A visit to Kusadasi is also a must. Use the local Dolmus. Its only 7TL each way and an experience to be remembered. (they should supply crash helmets and goggles). Some great shops and bazaars. Ice cream from Burger King is 1TL (about 40p) and yes we even found a Macdonalds!

We went on a trip to Ephesus. Unbelievable!
People travel from all over world to visit this site. We were only about 45 minutes away!
If you do only one excursion while on holiday, this is the one.

Service at the hotel was not brilliant for the first week as I think a lot of the staff were students and had only just been taken on for the season. However we would like to say thank you to some great staff who we remember for some time.
Mine from Customer Relations - a great help.
Sema, Baris and Aydin in the restaurants - Always had a smile and gave us great service. Hope the management recognise your efforts.
Canan and Ezgi from the Terrace Bar - You work very hard and also deserve recognition.
Ayshan - Our ice cream lady. You have a lovely smile!
Erem - Our great barman, Always remembered our drinks.
A thank you to Ugar and Irker, our favourite managers, for listening to our suggestions and making our stay enjoyable. There were a few things that were not quite right for a 5 star hotel, but the management were trying their hardest to put things right by the time we left. For instance swatting 39 wasps during one lunchtime must be some kind of record Irker. Maybe Wimbledon next year?
I am sorry if I have forgotten to mention anyone or mis-spelt any of your names.

A big thank you to John the Thomas Cook rep. You gave the best presentation at any welcome meeting we have ever attended. You are the total professional and a credit to your your employers.

We met some lovely people during our stay. Ron & Pam, Marie & Arthur, Annette & Dennis. Barry & Sylvia, John and Win to name but a few.
We enjoyed your company and hope we will see you again on our travels.

We loved the hotel, the location and the staff.

Hopefully this hotel will still be affordable next year!

Sue & Terry
