our stay in this hotel a 5 star, barely a 3 star for the money was robbery.the bar service was very poor , i did the british way i got my own.the entertainment was rubbish, the food was for the german&french guests.the so called beach was so tiny you could just fit a sunbed on,i complained to two managers without success,i am home now and still waiting for them to get back to me, maybe in another lifetime eh.the only highlight was the service in the restaurant from sara the waitress nothing was too much i reccomend that this young lady should be promoted to a manergerial position, because she would do a better job than the people that are already in place.

This was a very comfortable clean hotel with a excellent selection of food to choose from and i doubt if any one goes home disappointed with this aspect of their stay. Unfortunately for us the service in the restaurants, out on the terrace or at the 24hour bar at peak times was very disappointing. The evening entertainment was pretty poor but you have to bear in mind it's geared towards French and German guests. Our stay was made a lot more pleasant by meeting a lovely couple (Terry & Sue) although it's fair to say there were quite a few Brits staying here.
The resort of Ozdere is small but in a pleasant location and only about 40 mins from the Airport. It is only about 40 minutes away also from the must see ancient city of Ephesus so for the poor traveller a good choice.
All in all enjoyed it, but won't be going back.
P.S. The staff were very friendly but beware the guy who tops up your mini bar as he knocks and enters without you having time to react !

Just returned from the resort. Stayed from 2nd July to the 9th in a terrace suite. Great accommodation and worth the extra money.
Not really anything bad to say at all. Kemal in the spa was great and all the staff and treatments excellent. Mine (customer services) and her french colleague were very helpful. A little too restrictive on the speciality restaurants if the letters of the law are followed, but a great resort, friendly and helpful staff (especially Mustafa in the bar) and worthy of the 5 stars it holds. A nice touch for staff from all the departments to wave the bus away, including the general manager. Steve and Jan Bell.

We have just returned from a great two weeks at the Paloma Pasha.

We flew with Thomas Cook from Manchester. For a change we had good flight times both ways. Usually to Turkey they are at silly hours of the night. The flight time of three and a half hours was also a bonus.
Obtaining entry visas and passport checks at Izmir airport were done quickly and efficiently and we were sat on our transfer coach in no time at all. Unfortunately that's when we had our first hiccup. We had to wait about 45 minutes for planes from Newcastle and Birmingham to arrive before we could set off.

On arrival at the hotel we were given a cold drink and were quickly checked in.
We had booked a pool side room and wow we were not disappointed!
Large room, super king size bed, flat screen tv, fridge with beer and soft drinks, and a great bathroom with a walk in shower.
We could have done with a few more hangers and more than 2 drawers in the room but we managed.
Through the patio doors were two well cushioned sunbeds and within about 15 feet, the pool!

Bearing in mind the hotel has to cater to the tastes of many different nationalities, the food in both the main restaurant and pool bar was very good. Breakfast was not my favourite meal. Being a Brit I always miss my bacon and sausages! The toaster caused a few laughs. A very basic two sliced one is provided to cater for around 600 people! However there were always hot croissants and waffles available so perhaps I am being over critical.
We used two of the A la carte restaurants, Seasons and Saffron. It was great to be waited on!

The beach and pools got a little crowded but we always found a sunbed when we needed one.
The free use of pedalos and kayaks was really good. Its surprising how far you can get from shore without trying too hard. So remember to take a couple of bottles water with you and slap on some suncream!

We enjoyed the walk along the shore to Ozdere. There isn't a great deal to see there but the locals are friendly and don't pester to get you into their shops. The local Saturday market in Ozdere is a great. Really interesting and if you are looking for Genuine Fake Teeshirts, (they are actually really quite good). Leave some room in your suitcase!
A visit to Kusadasi is also a must. Use the local Dolmus. Its only 7TL each way and an experience to be remembered. (they should supply crash helmets and goggles). Some great shops and bazaars. Ice cream from Burger King is 1TL (about 40p) and yes we even found a Macdonalds!

We went on a trip to Ephesus. Unbelievable!
People travel from all over world to visit this site. We were only about 45 minutes away!
If you do only one excursion while on holiday, this is the one.

Service at the hotel was not brilliant for the first week as I think a lot of the staff were students and had only just been taken on for the season. However we would like to say thank you to some great staff who we remember for some time.
Mine from Customer Relations - a great help.
Sema, Baris and Aydin in the restaurants - Always had a smile and gave us great service. Hope the management recognise your efforts.
Canan and Ezgi from the Terrace Bar - You work very hard and also deserve recognition.
Ayshan - Our ice cream lady. You have a lovely smile!
Erem - Our great barman, Always remembered our drinks.
A thank you to Ugar and Irker, our favourite managers, for listening to our suggestions and making our stay enjoyable. There were a few things that were not quite right for a 5 star hotel, but the management were trying their hardest to put things right by the time we left. For instance swatting 39 wasps during one lunchtime must be some kind of record Irker. Maybe Wimbledon next year?
I am sorry if I have forgotten to mention anyone or mis-spelt any of your names.

A big thank you to John the Thomas Cook rep. You gave the best presentation at any welcome meeting we have ever attended. You are the total professional and a credit to your your employers.

We met some lovely people during our stay. Ron & Pam, Marie & Arthur, Annette & Dennis. Barry & Sylvia, John and Win to name but a few.
We enjoyed your company and hope we will see you again on our travels.

We loved the hotel, the location and the staff.

Hopefully this hotel will still be affordable next year!

Sue & Terry

For the price we paid for this holiday, it was disappointing. The staff could not understand basic English, and seemed to be catered mainly for French guests. We felt alienated in the evenings at the Piano Bar, particularly as when we asked the waiter for drinks, he said he would serve us 'if he had the time'. This response was not what I expected from a 5 star all inclusive at all., Reception also had difficulties comprehending the English guests, and when I went to inquire with regards to the pharmacy, the young male asked what was wrong - something I felt was a very personal question which need not have been asked. My partner got ill as a result of something consumed within the hotel, as this was the only place we ate. In the 'Welcome Book', they claim that the doctor is available 24/7, but this is far from the case. We spoke to the nurse on the telephone, who could not prescribe tablets and who insisted on calling the doctor out for 60 euros. When we made simple requests for toilet paper, it took up to one hour and two phone calls to reception to be delivered - again, this did not meet our expectations. The currency used within the hotel was Euros, yet it is based in a country which uses the Lira! The staff charged 7 Euros for a magazine, and they were also quite rude. Excursions booked within the hotel are ridiculously overpriced, charging 38 lira for a coach trip to Kusadasi when we decided to take the Dolmus at 14 Lira.
One thing which I cannot fault is the cleaning service, and the condition of the hotel room was immaculate. It is just a shame that the staff were unwelcoming and inefficient.
