“Little gem behind a faded facade (Castella de la Frontera)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2013

Dont let the outside fool you. Once you step inside, the rustic charm and friendliness of all staff and the superb food will have you smiling with pleasure. We had Sunday lunch there to celebrate my brother's 50th birthday and they couldn't have been nicer. Free fresh fish squares with salad as a starter, really good. Then brother and I had steak (we are avid carnivores) and we were not disappointed. Other sister had the Sea Bream and loved it, light and tasty. Brother's partner had the aubergine and declared it a 10!! Pudding was standard but still very good, pannacota and brownie . Good value for money and they threw in a very tasty blackcurrant liqueur as a birthday treat. Well worth a visit.

“Fantastic food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2012

It seems that there are two restaurants under the same ownership. I went to the one in Guadiaro as the one in Castellar de la Frontera is closed on weekdays. The black pudding - a local specialty - was great and the leg of lamb was just perfect. The restaurant has a small courtyard out back. Sit there! The staff was very attentive and did all they could to make me happy!

“A country side gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2011

Excellent food, pleasant ambiance and great service. We had the two specials, suckling pig and baby lamb and they were cooked to perfection. Deserts might enjoy a facelift but they are still good. Try the chocolate brownie!

“5 Stars in every way”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2011

Loved the old molino and love the new "mini" guadiaro molino just as much. The food is always excellent as is the service. The owner is always around watching over the operation, so you can be sure you'll get your money's worth.

“Beautiful Cortijo, inside and outside seating, great food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2011

Set in a secluded classical cortijo, this restaurant offer local, slightly creative cuisine, including cuts of Retinto beef and Ibérico pork. You can sit outside in a trellis covered patio or in one of several inside dining rooms. The food is good, portions are large, service is friendly, if a little slow at times. Definitely somewhere for a long summer lunch or romantic dinner. In winter, you will find a roaring fireplace.
