Stefano is a fantastic host. Shortly after booking he contacted me to confirm my arrival time and offered to pick me up at the train station. The house is only a 15 minute walk from the historic center of town and only 8 or 9 minutes from the train station. There is a small market nearby and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking your own meals. I was especially thankful to have the washing machine and large drying rack. The AC provided a welcome break from the August heat. The mattress is memory foam and very comfortable. The sheets were a beautifully embroidered cotton. Everything is beautiful and the seating has been upgraded since the photos above were taken. There is no garden but there is a comfortable bench outside for stargazers, though the streetlights made it a bit difficult to see the meteor showers. The tiny neighborhood is very quiet.
Stefano allowed me to see the larger apartment upstairs before other guests arrived and it met the same high standards as the vaulted apartment Dante that I rented. Stefano was kind enough to store my bags on the day of departure and he drove me twice into the historic center, then again drove me to the train station. He is very accomodaing and wants to ensure his guests enjoy their visit to Spello, one of the most beautiful hill towns in Italy.
