It was a business trip to this city. It's considered the largest hotel in southern Iran. The first impression is quite good. Lobby area is large and impressive with some natural looking flowers on the entrance. You can't find a single molecule of dirt here and every small piece of furniture and decor are thoroughly cleaned. The area can be considered as a classic 4 Star hotel. Receptionist people are well dressed and polite. I can't comment on their language abilities because we spoke Persian to them. Lobby area has a shopping passage too. A huge coffee shop is there too this area is connected to a mezzanine floor where the free internet kiosks and offices are located. There are 3 Huge restaurants on the first floor which serve nice local and traditional foods in a professional manner in spotless and crack-less cutlery. Kudos! to the chef and rest of the cooks and washers. The only objectionable matter are the carpets in the restaurants, which are old and dirty.
Elevators connecting the floors are small, old and badly lit. The passage leading to the rooms are carpeted in dark maroon, with the walls matching the carpet. Because of the color and the dim light you won't find any dirt or spot in this area. It can be rated as 3 stars. Key cards for the rooms are blank with no sign of the hotel and the room No's are handwritten on a small sticker on the card. Entering the room, you find yourself in 1990's. The good side of the rooms: well cleaned, spotless furniture and cutlery, no sign of dust and queen sized single beds.(which was good for me)
The bad side: Every other thing looks old, TV, beds, room style and the darkness. A/C was noisy and the rooms smell strange when you enter the first time and there are damps on some walls. When I uncovered my bed which was absolutely covered in a 70's style the bed cover was full of strange spots, The bed sheet was clean but seemed quite old because you could see the mattress under it. The blanket was too thin and felt uncomfortable. The bathroom was clean but really old. You can't find any dirt on the basin but the tub was in a shabby condition with signs of cracks every where in it. It couldn't be used for relaxed bath. Shampoo and body wash were of a better quality than the rest of the kit but still can't be considered as 5 stars. Towels were absolutely clean but really worn-out. The bathroom can't be rated more than 2 stars.
My experience in room No. 759 was like this. It did have a view to the sea but you must struggle to see it with that angled, unreachable balcony of the room. Maybe some others differ, but I can't rate this hotel more than 3 stars on the whole.
Note: This is the best hotel in the Bandar Abbas area
