We had a delightful meal in the middle of Basque country, about an hour from the coast. This restaurant is in a charming former roadhouse in the small town of Ainhoa. We had the 36 E prix fixe menu. The meal started with amuse bouche of fish over watermelon. Our starters were tomato tartes and zucchini wrapped goat cheese. My husband had filet with a delicious brown sauce, I had rabbit. We had delicious chocolate souffles for dessert which they substituted for the dessert on the prix fixe menu. This restaurant is worth the drive through beautiful countryside. Next time we'll stay here.
