I stayed at the ibis Borehamwood whilst down in London to see the Rolling stones in Hyde park, three weeks after staying at the premier Inn in Borehamwood. I thought both hotels were of a similar standard and offer good value for money compared to more central hotels. We travelled into London to the South bank (Blackfrairs) one day and it only took 30 minutes from Borehamwood station, which is only a 5 minute drive from the hotel, and only costs £2 to park at weekend.
Rooms at both the premier inn and Ibis were very similar, with the premier inn being slightly bigger, but the bed at the Ibis was much better. I personally wouldn't bother with breakfast unless it is very important to you as there is a McDonalds a few minutes down the road which is much cheaper.
I would recommend both, and make your choice on price, as it isn't really worth paying more for one over the other.More
