“Great value for money”

Easy to find. Fairly big car park. Entrance is barrier controlled, you are given exit code on check in. Check in was quick and efficient. Room was standard premier inn but seemed a little smaller, I was with my husband and 2 children and there wasn't room to get between the beds which is not a problem I have had at premier inn before. Not a big deal tho as we were only there one night. Our room was quiet and overlooked the car park and some waste land but we weren't there for the view. Room and bathroom were clean. Again breakfast standard help your self buffet, excellent value as the kids eat free. Food was served in the bar which was very small, was ok when we were there but imagine there would be a wait during peak times. Got the room in the new year sale, b&b for 2 adults and 2 children for less than £40, can't beat it for value. Its about a 20 min drive to the Warner Brothers Harry Potter studio tour.

A good night sleep with little noise. Car parking is good and free, although the spaces are limited. Very clean room and tidy with the facilities you expect. Not too far from the station into London, although car parking there is limited so best to walk/bus to the station about 1.5 miles away.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less noise.

We use this hotel to visit London. Its a 20 minute train ride to St. Pancras (and Eurotunnel, of course). Usual excellent buffet style breakfasts. We stayed in room 312, which is on the road side of the hotel, but cannot say that traffic noise(fridayand saturday nights) was too bad. The family that let their little brat run about til 12 midnight was the only fly in the ointment, but that seems to be the modern method of parenting today. Staff great as usual. I recommend his hotel, its has nearby competition from ibis, travelodge, and a couple of others, but is still always well frequented.

Room Tip: Rooms away from road quieter

having stayed 3 times in this hotel, the previous 2 have been fantastic, along with the staff that still stays the same.

Sadly we stayed room 406 and that is the side where the main road is, and despite the windows being shut the noise is very intrusive, especially having the windows open due to a warm room (air con unit to noisy as well)

Yep we could of asked to have been moved to the opposite side for our 2nd night stay, but why should we ? the problem lies within. Premier inn no it is an ongoing problem so why havent they addressed it ?

Becasue you pay a cheap price for a bed, and the finances within the company restrict them from improving things ?

Regardless, staff were fantastic, restaurant evening meals typical of plop pub chain food.

BREAKFAST. for the price you pay id go elsewhere. coffee machine broke for 2 days, (substitute hot weak coffee replacement ) sauasages were probably 38%pork. but the rest was ok

As an avid premier inn user, not the best, knowing there are ongoing problems.

pays ya money , ya get what gets attitude maybe ?

Spacious clean hotel with free car park round the back. There is a full sized bathroom with a convenient body wash dispenser. Stayed in room 415 facing the car park away from the main road, you will need to listen carefully to hear traffic noise!!

Having already stayed at and reviewed the Ibis in Borehamwood too, I am going to compare the two in this review.

There is free 30 minutes a day of WIFI which is handy (no free internet at Ibis at all). Premier Inn provides plenty of FreeView TV channels including Film 4. (Ibis restricted 7 or 8 channels and no Film 4). If you have mobile broadband, there is (medium to poor) 3G signal on Vodafone which was fine (Excellent Signal at Ibis). My room at Premier Inn was considerably bigger than the Ibis's but both are far from being tiny.

That said, my favourite hotel in Borehamwood remains the Ibis which has a more modern look and I prefer the spacious shower there rather than the bath tub in Premier Inn. Plus an approx. 1 mile walk from Ibis to the station is more reasonable than almost 1.5 from the Premier Inn. Finally the back rooms in the Ibis have no traffic noise whatsoever (rooms 514 and 512 at least)

All in all, the Premier Inn is a lovely hotel and my room and bathroom were totally spotless and very well lit. Would I recommend it? Definitely!!

Room Tip: Stay away from rooms facing Elstree Way which is pretty loud pretty much at all times. Ask for a roo...
