This hotel's a bit of a mixed bag. It's mostly good, the bad points are due to the location. You need a car to get here - it's right beside the M1, on the northbound side. This means the surroundings are ugly, and you need a car to get here. If you're not arriving in your own car, you'll need a taxi.

Note that although Edgeware is the nearest Tube station, you will need a car to get there. Also note (for those not familiar with the Northern line on the Tube) that the northern line branches in two at the northern end (and also somewhere in the middle.) This basically means that Edgeware might not be on the correct branch for you. We consequently ending up driving down to Brent Cross on the motorway, and getting the Tube from there.

The rooms are excellent for the price. They're new, modern, spacious and clean. Soundproofing is good, blackout curtains are always welcome, especially with bright streetlights outside.

The breakfast was surprisingly good. I wasn't expecting fresh fruit salad, or a kitchen where food was freshly prepared. Well done to the hotel for this, we really enjoyed our breakfasts.

Although the receptionist was friendly and helpful, she wasn't at all knowledgeable about the area, the road access, the Tube stations, etc, which could be improved on.

Overall, if you don't care about the ugly surroundings, this is a good value hotel.

Room Tip: Ground floor family rooms are very big

For a business trip that involved car travel around the M25 and beyond, this was a good location. It may not be the ideal location if visiting central London. Finding it when you leave the M1, even with a sat nav, is a little difficult. Bedrooms are clean, good quality and have modern furnishings. Breakfast is just of average quality, self service and lukewarm temperature. staff are more concerned with stocking shelves with cereal boxes than looking after guests. We had dinner 2 nights from a restricted menu but the quality was very good on both occasions. This is a typical UK business hotel that meets the basic requirements but lacks atmosphere, warmth and friendship.

We stayed here the weekend before Christmas and thought it was a fantastic hotel. It is perfect if you have a car as it is conveniently located on the M1. It takes about 15 mins (in car) to get to Edgware were you can then get the tube into central London (about 20/30 mins to Leicester Square) Again would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Room was big, bathroom was fantastic and all spotlessly clean. Plus the staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel suited our needs perfectly, it was well located just outside London and a short drive to Hendon. The rooms were very large and big enough for a cot with plenty of spare space. Free parking is a good bonus in London. Right off the motorway so great for a stop over. We stayed two nights for a short London break and really enjoyed it. The heating is very dated and didnt work properly our room was very cold, it was blowing cold air, even though we put the temp up. Other then that nice hotel. We got a very good deal through an offer, but the full price is a bit steep!

Let's start with the rooms. They are very spacious (we had a family room) and clean. High shower pressure and also has a bath. Location is about a 5 min taxi (5 pound) to edgware station and then about a 30 minute (3 pounds win Oyster card) ride into central London. Me and my partner really enjoyed staying here, even though it is away from the city, the small town of edgware is nice and safe.

If you are a big breakfast water, they are currently doing a special where if you book the night before, you save 4 pounds on buffet English breakfast. (8 pound instead of 12). Breakfast was good. However, me and my partner came here for dinner one night. The restaurant didn't open til 6.30pm and we wanted dinner at 5.30. Also room service is only available till 8pm. My boyfriend ordered the lamb shank which was good, but the side of veges was bland, as if they'd just been boiled, no seasoning, nothing. I ordered the Caesar salad. Well, the chicken was stone cold and dry as if it had been cooked the day before and then kept in the fridge. The menu advertised cos lettuce and I received iceberg lettuce. Would not recommended!! The service of the floor staff that night was very slack. No meal check during our meal and no meal check when we were paying. After we had paid, my boyfriend decided to say something about the salad. All the man said was "well you've already paid, there's nothing I can do". Would not recommend the restaurant unless it's for breakfast. Other than that, good rooms and good service at reception.
