“Tasty Lunch”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

Attractive cafe/restaurant. Seems very popular. I was attracted in by the up to date style of the food on offer, advertised on the menu card visible from outside. Large attractively presented portions with an imaginative salad, nicely dressed. Fine coffee too. Good prompt service, but without any feeling of being rushed. Friendly staff. Will definitely return.

“Nice Little Place, nothing to write home about!”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

Was here recently, staff were friendly enough. I did find a little lack of atmosphere but overall the place was ok.

“Yummy Cakes”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

Lovely little place to stop for lunch or coffee & a cake. Soups & lunch specials are always good and they usually have things on the menu that are a little bit different.
Only bad thing about the cakes is there's too much choice! (not sure about the glitter on everything though!)
Service has been spot on every time I've been in too.

“Great cafe”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

Came here for lunch on probably the busiest day in Lanark-Christmas market weekend. Food was freshly prepared and served quickly. Lots of choice and delicious home baking on offer too.
Staff were extremely friendly, despite being rushed off their feet! We'll definitely go back if visiting Lanark.

“Tasty treats”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

This is by far the best cafe in Lanark. It's in a great location, has friendly, fast and efficient staff and above all has the best range of food to choose from. Their coffees are delicious - they do a mean flat white and the cappuccino comes with glitter! Full range of other drinks like ginger beer etc. The soups and salads are great especially with a filled soda scone on the side, yum yum. It's also refreshing to have a side salad with it that you can eat and enjoy and it's not just 'garnish' like in so many other places. The soups are always hearty and include things like pumpkin, butternut squash, parsnip and ginger etc but one time I tried a sweetcorn and chilli soup that was so amazing. Now...onto the cakes. You are spoiled for choice. From the humble scone to the flamboyant meringues seved with lashings of cream and fresh fruit, you will find old time favourites like empire biscuits alongside new and different cakes like cinder toffee! Mmmm making me hungry just writing this. I know where I'm off to this afternoon...
