“Camping”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

Just returned from a night camping. The price is fab right on the beach, good work by the owners who go out of their way to welcome you. Paid for one night with electric hook up didn't have to be off site till midday and the owner Jeff, who is extremely hospitable allowed us to stay on site without hookup until we wanted to leave which was late afternoon. Loads of free entertainment at the pub and extremely reasonable priced drinks and food. Just a shame Bridgend council are so opposed to it, wouldn't allow play area, no showers and only portaloos. This wasn't a problem as we were well equipped. Keep up the good work everyone at hi-tide we will definitely be returning. 15 pounds with electric, bargain!!! No rip off Britain at this site. No extras for children, pets or tents. Thank you all for an enjoyable stay. Good to know businesses want to attract families at a reasonable rate.

“Porthcawl Fairground Near The Hi Tide”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

This fairground needs money put into it A.S.A.P, there is the odd new ride(s) but it is very run-down. The people working on the rides are'nt all welsh and in our experience can be very ignorant, they hardly speak, no please or thank you and poor appearance; they are giving the welsh a bad reputation (the welsh are very friendly, not at all like the staff on the rides).

The fairground is tatty. Why aren’t the local council there doing something about it?!??!!, they need a rocket behind them to boost them into action. The fairground needs to be pushed into the present day, there is so much potential.

Please will the council there put some time and money into the area, Porthcawl could bring them so much income/profit to the local business’s etc. if only they maintained and improved everything; its as though they are running it down on purpose.

On the plus side the rides are cheaper than other places.
