“To be avoided at all costs!”
Reviewed May 20, 2013 via mobile

Absolutely filthy overpriced dump. There simply are no other words. If you manage to find it open you're luckier than most, and if it's closed don't, for the love of god, venture down to the beach that faces it. In under ten minutes I found broken glass, fishing wire, a syringe and sanitary ware. I have never snatched my three year old off a beach quicker.

Don't waste the petrol getting there. In fact, that goes for Porthcawl in general.

“This place needs a serious overhaul and sadly lets Porthcawl down”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

It is expensive for rides.... Generally filthy.... Toilets are disgusting - I didn't venture in, but could smell them upon passing..... The 'showmen' are, well, not sure how to politely say, less than friendly and assuring. This place needs investment and a big overhaul. It needs to looks at example small fair grounds such as Blackpool pleasure and learn from them. A central park ride ticket price for families would make it more appealing and some TLC, paint and attention to the decor of the environment a must.

Tacky at it's worst and I do have several health and safety concerns. Splinters from ride seats, sharp edges to metal fixings, rickety rides that reek danger.

This place could be so much more appealing if someone took advice and showed that they care. The overall feel is that its a cash cow that has got away with amusing a captive audience for far too long with its substandard facilities and offerings.

“OK for children”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

Plenty of rides for children, but while they had some arcade places, most are open to the elements (roller shutters end of day), with no doors in a wet and windy April one was not inclined to hang about. Better weather would feel differently.

Downside, parking fee on there car park is quite steep, compared to the parks in town itself. There is not much street parking around Coney Park, so little option but to use there park

“Coney Beach Amusement Park”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

Went on Mon 6th May(bank holiday) it was really busy. The rides were very overpriced, we went on 'The Ghost Train' cost £2 each, totally pathetic and dated, it lasted approx 1 min. Likewise the rest were the same. The highlights were the delightful stinking dirty toilets, mens and ladies 10p each to use them, got in a long line of people waiting and after the lady in front of me asked if she could go inside to change her babies nappy she was told not without paying !!! Greed of the highest order seems to be how it's run.I would never go back there, be warned.
