Fair looked a bit tired, rides a bit expensive, arcades could do with updating their games a little bit. Half of the rides were closed

Not a place I would recommend, the whole place is a throw back to the 1970s and it feels like very little money has been spent on it since the 70's

Childhood memories of yesteryear but now Coney Beach seems to be a little bit run down, kids wqon't worry about that though. great food at reasonable prices at the High Tide Inn .

The grandchildren love a visit to the beach here, plenty of sand and space. We do tend to make sure we access the beach right at either end though. The amusements and rides are dire. Suggest they're all removed, walls and pedestrian areas made good then perhaps a repaint! Or maybe even got rid of and decent parking area installed. The ice cream parlours and bars are nice enough... just the amusements that spoil it.

Plenty of sand and good tides for surfing, it's beaches have become very popular with surfers. There are life-guards therefore good for families with young children. There are also donkey and horse rides on one of their beaches. Over the recent years the beaches in Porthcawl are much, much cleaner. But you must note that when the red flags are put out on the beach you can't go into the sea, this is for your own safety, if you ignore this message the life guards will be polite and ask you to exit the sea.

The beaches in Porthcawl are large, much larger than most beaches abroad, can play cricket etc. if you take your own things. Porthcawl landscape is flat therefore there is easy access to the beaches, some have got some steps/short ramps.

The beaches are in close proximity to the town, fairground, pubs and the very, very large caravan park.

It's such a shame as so much more could be done to the area, if time and money was spent in the area it would be better than going abroad. What is the local council up to, they have ground (sandy bay) which they have just left in a mess, please do something with it, and NOT houses.

Please make Porthcawl a landmark in the U.K and not just Wales, the main elements and landscape are already there, improve and promote it.
