We were very impressed with Foam Edge, situated on the seafront in Porthcawl with stunning views from our room which was named Tusker Rock. We had an excellent night sleep in the super kingsize bed, the room itself was very quiet and had many thoughtful little extras. The house is tastefully decorated throughout with attention to detail. There is plenty to choose from on the breakfast menu, must try the Foam Edge special. We were pleasantly surprised with the choice of restaurants within walking distance, it's a 5 minute walk into the town.
Helen was very welcoming and made us feel at home instantly. We will be returning and highly recommend this spotless, well run Guest House.

I was in Porthcawl on a business trip and stayed one night at Foam Edge. I tend to stay away from B&B's as I have come across so many bad ones. However, I am so please to have taken a chance on Foam Edge. It is very clean, and the owners are genuinely warm and welcoming. The room was large and airy with great views of the coast. Highly recommended!

We can only echo what the other reviewers have said.

Everything about the Foam Edge is top class, although the tariff is quite reasonable.

The room (named Hugo Bank) was excellent and even had it's own self-enclosed balcony overlooking the sea.
The service was excellent, the food equally so, and Helen and her family were very friendly and helpful.

Will recommend this 100%

We stayed for one night at the end of Feb '11. As other reviews have said, it is superb. Friendly and welcoming. Our room had a splendid sea view and we could sit on a covered balcony and enjoy the view. Breakfast very good. Pleased to strongly recommend.

Stayed 2 nights in October. Had the lovely large room overlooking the sea. Nice, clean and comfortable. Friendly and inviting. Would definitely stay again.
