Hotel chef was on night off, read about this place on this site, so gave it a try. As did a large chunk of the hotel and the staff (getting takeaways).
The owner, Roberto, welcomed us and immediately made us feel at home.
We ordered expensive wine (cheaper options are available) which was decanted at our table. It was excellent.
We shared a plate of meats and cheeses, which went well with the wine.
I ordered Deer pasta- well you don't see at home- it's nice to try something unique. It was really nice, with a light sauce on it. The wife had a pizza which was excellent too.
If you like desserts you'll be a fool to miss them.
There is a wide choice, the profiteroles are the best I've ever had and the home made tiramisu is unmissable.
The whole thing was so good, we booked a table for our last night and enjoyed another excellent meal.
Our bill was expensive due to our extravagant wine choices. If you pick cheaper wine a meal for two should come in under 60euros. Great value, this is proper Italian food excellently delivered.
