Positive: close to the beach, 2 min walk to the centre of Cannigione, supermarket and restaurants nearby, very spacious room/studios, swimming pool, equipped kitchen, great for families (playground down the residences). Friendly and helpful staff.
Negative: a bit noisy and thin walls (unless you are on a top floor studio you can hear your neighbours walking, talking etc.), slow wifi

We stayed for 2 weeks in a one bedroomed apartment on the upper floor which gave us great views. Everything was clean and although not overly stocked with equipment, it had all we needed for basic self catering when we needed it. There was a kettle which I think is a new addition. There is a TV but no English programmes. We didn't attempt to use Wifi. We rented a car which we didn't really need as was content to stay local. It was very straightforward to find our way from the airport. Apparently the hotel offers airport transfer (if it is available) for 50 Euros each way and a taxi would cost 70 Euros each way. This does seem a lot as it takes about 35 - 40 minutes to get there. There is also a bus but didn't find out about where the stops were or the cost but obviously much more cost effective. There are little coves nearby (just walk north up the one way street along the coast) and you can usually find somewhere to spend a few hours or the day in a secluded area within a 10 minute stroll. You can hire bikes locally and there are several boat trips although we didn't do one. There are all sorts of water sports available including snorkelling and SCUBA diving. The local beach is literally just across the road with sunbeds and umbrellas and a lifeguard in attendance. Although we don't have young children now, there is an excellent well used playground in the grassy area within a minutes walk. the whole area out the front looks like it has had a makeover as Google map pictures look very different. The accommodation has three pools - a separate children's pool one side of the sunbathing area and a small pool and jacuzzi in the main sunbathing area. These are not heated and a little cold for me but the sea was a very pleasant temperature to swim in. Sunbeds were plentiful, including some double bedded 4-poster type ones with curtained sides for shade which was perfect for those with babies who napped on them. It was never busy there as most people went out for the day. We visited Capo D'oro on the northern tip to visit the fascinating rock formations. The car park was 3 Euros and entry was 3 Euros each for a self guided walk to the top. Restaurants are plentiful with the nearest being a Pizzaria on site (also offers other food apart from pizza) and a Cafe on site, both of which we found to offer a good choice of food and snacks. There are 2 supermarkets within a 5 - 10 minute walking distance and another in the main street area, all of which had everything you could want and one has a fishmongers and all have a meat and cheese counter.

The only sour note was the fact we were told our bedlinen would be changed after one week as well as the apartment would be cleaned. This was not done (I know from the fact there was a small blood stain on the sheet from scratching a mosquito bite which remained there for 2 weeks). Towels were changed three times which was excellent. When I mentioned on leaving about the lack of bedlinen change and cleaning (only to highlight, not to make a fuss), the lady rang the cleaners who insisted it had been done. Our word against theirs and of course we were not believed. This was upsetting especially and there was no attempt at making us feel happy with the outcome.

I am sure that over time we will not allow this to colour our overall view of this lovely place and hope to come again. It is a little gem.

Room tip: Upper floor for best views.

We just came back from Cannignone.
We were staying in Riva Azzurra and it was great.
The apartments are well equipped with plates, cutlery, pans etched and amazing views!!
There is 3 swimming pools (2 kids and one adult) plenty of chairs.
The beach is literally opposite the residence.
There is a caffeine, restaurant downstairs.
Plenty of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets within 5-10 min walk.
Cannignone is a small town so if you looking for a nice and quiet holidays it's perfect!
There is lots of amazing beaches around so having a car is ideal as you can go and explore!

This was our first visit to Sardinia and having spent a week in Alghero which was very pleasant we drove across the Island to Cannigione. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and showed us to our apartment which was spotless. They were incredibly helpful throughout our stay when we wanted advice on boat trips, visiting other beaches and local information. The local beach is just minutes away and there are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The area around Cannigione is just stunning, beautiful beaches, crystal clear water and a boat trip to Maddelena and the surrounding islands is a must. We had a fantastic holiday and I would definitely recommend staying here whether you are a family or a couple. We can't wait to go back!

Fantastic location, spotlessly clean and ever so helpful receptionists. 3 main things. 1) just across the road is the beach and from here you can catch the must do boat trip to madellena islands. Reception booked it for us. Was the brown boat and €40pp. 2) there is a fantastic bus service just a short walk along the shops called sun line that drops off along various beaches along the smeralda coast from €2.50 pp each way. Big coach and even goes to olbia airport (wish we'd known beforehand as wouldve saved £100+ and a private minibus). Timetable outside reception and again it was the receptionist who told us about this. 3) porto cervo worth a visit but we didnt see bathing so unless you want to shop for all designer gear, then take the 4.30pm ish bus there and the 7.40pm bus back. Capprioli beach lovely but when you get off bus come out of the carpark and turn left up the hill. The walk is approx 10mins. Rena bianchi was gorgeous too.
Would highly revommend this accommodation. We had a fantastic holiday and sardinia is absolutely stunning.
