“A fun day for the whole family!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2013

We read the reviews before going and almost thought against it. Glad we went anyway!! We all had a fun time. The sidewinder was a big hit with my daughter! We parked on the nearby street to avoid the $15 parking cost. Being from Edmonton and having the west ed mall waterpark close by, this was something different! We did not find it dirty or run down.

“Sylvan Lake, AB”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

Sylvan Lake Marina, Slide Park, Jet Ski, Yachting, boating, beach and availability of all amenities along the shore from Tim Horton's to good restaurants along the beach makes it an excellent place for a family vacation or just a weekend

“Don't waste your money.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2013

The facilities are extremely worn down and little to no maintenance has been done. It has been shut down in the past by the heath board because they weren't treating the water properly. Can't bring in your own food or drinks.

Also make sure you phone ahead the day you you plan on coming because it is not always open. We live hear and have had this happen on three different occasions, all on sunny hot days, so it might save you (And your kids) the disappointment to phone ahead.

There a plenty of other, more exciting and less expensive things to do around the area.
The lake is free, lots of activities like 1913 days, Jazz festivals, Shake the Lake and Canada Day to take in instead. If you want water slides go to West Edmonton Mall or go to your local swimming pool.

“Not worth it.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2013

We were expecting to have a great time as we always go to West Edmonton Mall Waterpark and have a blast there. This place is nothing like West Ed. but costs the same. The staff were not nice but not professional and I found it crazy they search your bags and take away any and all food, even bottled water. I didn't think anyone could take your bottle water away except airports. So, of course, they want you to purchase the food they provide which is overpriced and not very good. My pizza was not cooked properly and had a few bites of raw dough and then threw out the rest. It wasn't clean which is even worse because you don't have your shoes on because you were just swimming. Oh, and the lockers were so frustrating you pay 50 cents each time you want to open it and if you don't have change with you you have to wait in line to get it. Very frustrating when your running back and forth all the time for little things when you have children with you. The slides were not fast enough either, there was no water pressure to push you. I got stuck more than once on slides and I'm a thin person. So overall we left early and frustrated. Would not recommend driving out there for this place unless they clean up the place, get a better system for the lockers, and faster slides. There was no re-entry for parking also. It just seemed like an old run down place that still charged high prices for everything. Not worth it won't be back anytime soon.

“It's ok, but don't be a larger person, and take lots of money!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013

The rides were older and not that well kept. If your a larger person, be prepared to be told you're too heavy to ride AFTER you have paid, and it's not cheap! Also, make sure you have everything you want from the locker, it costs every time you go into it. Meaning, you pay for it, and if you need something and go back in, you have to pay to lock it again. Will not go there again.
