“Really convenient when we dock at the marina but service is lacking”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

Food is good and portions are great. Especially love the taco salad! Quite obvious the staff is more interested in flirting with their friends though and that means you get up and order the drinks from the bar yourself. As a warning, the water temperature on the taps in the washroom is bizarre. My daughter went to wash her hands and was burnt to the point of blisters in just a second. I tested the other taps and found the hot water taps are literally putting out steaming hot water. They need to change the type of tap or turn the temp down. Notified the staff and was told, "oh yeah, I have heard that before"....??

“Nice views, clean and welcoming restaurant”
Reviewed July 23, 2012

This was the third time when we eat at this place in Sylvan Lake so I decided that is the time to write a review about the place. It is situated in the no so pedestrian part of the water front right in front of marina so it is not so busy with visitors I assume or this is what we observed because first we went on the "strip" on friday afternoon and those places were busier then this one but this as I said i think is because of the location.Inside the place is more than OK and the look of the real hardwood gives a special feel to the place. You are still in a sort of pub / restaurant but the feel is different more towards the restaurant (still you do not have table cloths). We tried to get on the upper terace but it was full so we decided to stay inside. The view from the terace is beatifull but you get some of the view from inside too. We had the special which was crumbed viel (sort of snietzel) with mushroom sauce and soup ($14.99 / person) and my wife had the ceasars which were on special for $3.50 each. We liked the food, no complains and we felt well inside. the service was good also. We will go back there for sure.

“Fish & Chips!”
Reviewed June 23, 2012

I was a little surprised to receive English-style Fish & Chips in the middle of Canada but even more surprised by the quality - especially the fish. Two-good sized peices and a mountain of "fries" - they're not chips! Only one thing they don't have is mushy peas - the quintessential accompaniment to Fish & Chips. Also on special offer at $11.95 so a good deal all round.

“Beach food at a good value”
Reviewed June 15, 2012

We visited Pier 7 in July 2011 - The staff were friendly and the food was what you would expect from a beach side grill.
This is a great place to stop for some burgers and beverages after a day at the beach.
