We stayed at Oasis, so Rainforest Hideaway was a very quick walk away. After reading the reviews we knew we couldn't miss the chance to dine here, and let me tell you - the reviews were right! If you are looking for a quiet and secluded dining destination in St. Lucia this is a great pick.
There aren't many tables at Rainforest Hideaway... maybe a dozen, at most. The restaurant is out over the water and while you're eating you'll be cooled by the breezes wafting in. We were there on jazz night, which means we were serenaded by smoky and seductive music that was loud enough to hear but not loud enough that we had to shout over it. It was the perfect background music on a sultry summer night.
At Rainforest you can choose to receive either 2 courses or 3. My husband and I each went with the 3 course meal and I left there STUFFED. My first course was the largest caesar salad I have ever had. I was almost full after this course! Following the appetizer I had a beef tenderloin course, and then dessert was a coconut and pineapple cheesecake. Everything I ate was perfectly made and delicious, and my husband was just as happy with his picks.
The service was really what set this restaurant apart for me and I think Rainforest Hideaway had better service than anywhere else I've ever eaten. The courses were delivered at the perfect intervals, and our waitress was attentive without hovering. Whenever our drinks were empty we were presented with the option of a new drink. The waitress and all of the bartenders were very accommodating and pleasant.
If you find yourself around Marigot Bay I highly recommend making a reservation here. We spent a week in St. Lucia and this was definitely one of the highlights!
