We were lucky enough to visit during a dance festival. The performance was wonderful and truly enhanced our appreciation of a beautiful theater.

.....is amazingly beautiful. Frescoes on the ceiling, open, airy and amazingly constructed for the climate. Sit in the ornate chairs and climb the stairs to the gallery. Entry cost 1CUC each, guide spoke limited English but you got the gist. Would love to see a show here !

This old theatre looks nice from the outside but is a 19th century beauty on the inside. It is right on the main plaza (Parque Vidal) and was a CUC or two to get inside. We mostly walked around inside including to an upper floor and sat in a couple of the chairs for a bit of a rest also. There were not many inside and a woman whom we paid for the admission followed us briefly and described a bit and in limited English. She made no effort to ask for a tip. It's certainly worth a half hour of your time to see one of the best preserved old theaters in Cuba.
