It was good to visit because of the historical significance. Cuba has since led a more sustainable way of life, and doesn't have the dangerous levels of automobile pollution and other types of air and water pollution which is associated with much of the world today. While the citizens may have lower income, there isn't any homeless people, and health and dental care is provided at extremely low cost, and there is no weapons problem like they have in the United States and other countries around the world.

“interesting insight in Che's background”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

The museum is not very large but contains some interessting documents and parfarnalia of Che. In combination with the adjoining mausoleum interesting enough to take a small detour

“Great visit”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

The drive from Varadero to Santa Clara was long, but it was so worth it to get to see this wonderful museum and memorial. Cuba is so rich with history, and this is a must see.

“Don't wear a hat”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

I forgot to take my hat off when viewing the martyr's hall and was told to take it off by a female guide as a act of respect for the dead. Interesting Museum.

“Not a Che fan...doesn't matter draw your own conclusions~”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

HEAVY SURVEILLANCE IN & OUT OF THE MUSEUM (to be expected) no need to be intimitaded (as another poster commented) ....not at all the staff here is very friendly. They are just doing their job. NO handbags of ANY kind allowed in the museum. Their is NO where to lock up personal belongings, keep that in mind as you plan your trip. As most are using taxi's or public transport, I seen many outside as they were not allowed in.

Regardless of one's views I felt the museum in itself was well done!

Pretty good amount of displayed personal items (doc supplies, dental supplies & extensive ammo pieces) they also provided a lot of reading material.

I would have "wished" for just a a (LITTLE, tiny, itsy bitsy) room for personal interpretation rather than beating one over the head with one sided views, it was all good as that is why we have a brain, draw your OWN conclusions.

If you are a fan of arms this museum will not disappoint... great pieces on display!

Don't miss this, a must see!
