Well worth a visit with a guide. Displays require a little more interpretation and explanation than provided.

Bold, brash and completely over the top however, a fitting memorial for the man. Take your pictures outside because you can't inside. I understand now that Che's remains have been brought here from Bolivia since the CIA were kind enough to release them. Security are a bit paranoid about people looking for a momento. If your on the route of the revolution then you have to go.

Some great history that about Che Guevara!
Some great photos and memrobilia that I didn't see anywhere else in Cuba, but like has been said before, nothing to buy and no cameras allow. The Bag staff look after that! The security staff are very edgy about where you look and go, but work a look.

Not a lot of items on display. Che's life was given enough detail. The wall and monument are the best parts of the visit.

The city of Santa Clare can be completed in half a day, The only attraction is the enormous Che Guevara monument and museum beneath it. The museum is interesting and there are many tourists queuing to view it, I went in low season and had to wait about 40 mins for the coach loads of people, and for my turn to go in. Camera and bags are not permitted and there are armed guards al over the place. It was a shame that there was nowhere to get a coffee or a drink as it was very very hot waiting outside and there was no sign of a store to buy some keepsakes or souvenirs. In the city of Santa Clara, it was amazing at how much the people there don't care or worship the Che as they do in the other cities I visited (Havana, Trinidad and Vinales). The people don't care and it shows. I spent one night in Santa Clara and wished I had not, I could have moved onto the next destination as there was nothing else to do in the town. There was absolutely nothing catered for tourists or holidaymakers, even to the point of visiting the Information Centre and there was nothing the assistant could recommend in the way of day trips or things to do. We asked if he could help to find a casa to stay in for our destination and he was VERY unwilling. Quite the contrary to the other cities where they were more than happy to help, giving many suggestions. Do not waste a day here, half a day will cover it!
