The house is very nice with a relaxing garden in front of the rooms in wich you can smoke a cigar on a rocking chair.
Carlon and his family are very kind and there we'd one of the best breakfast in our Cuban journey.

Expedia.caThe hostal has alot of character: a pretty courtyard complete with birds and climbing plants. The room was extremely spacious, cool and clean. The hosts were attentive and the food was generous and hearty. The prettiest place we stayed.

Beautiful casa. Wonderful warm welcome, great food and safe parking (was looked after by a mountain of a man!). Would definately recommend to anyone

What a find! We stumbled on this casa particular almost by accident, as the casa we had booked had guests staying an extra night so they brought us here. Carlos (Obregon) and Carmen were very friendly and spoke very good English. Carlos was unobtrusive, but clearly was keeping an eye on the needs of his guests, as he always appeared immediately if we looked like we needed something. Unfortunately one of us was ill during our stay and Carlos was very sweet, showing concern and offering anything he could do to help.
The casa is a cut above the other ones we had stayed in during our trip to Cuba - the colonial house had been lovingly restored in a very beautiful style (in contrast to the "make the best of whatever's available" style that we (understandably) saw across the rest of Cuba), and was spotlessly clean. Every detail has been thought of. The house has a gorgeous courtyard with a fountain and lots of greenery, and each room has rocking chairs outside to sit in and soak up the atmosphere. Eating breakfast in the "inside/outside" breakfast area at the end of the courtyard has got to be one of my favourite moments of the holiday.
The casa is very conveniently located - only 1 minute's walk to the main square, where there seem to be outdoor concerts every weekend.
Unfortunately we only had one night in Santa Clara with pre-booked bus tickets - it would have been lovely to stay longer.

From the moment of arrival by greeted with a pot of tea to being waved off on departure 2 days later everything was perfect. The spacious and peaceful accommodation so full of character belies the appearance from the busy street within a minute's walk of the central square and pedestrianised centre of Santa Clara. The room was clean and comfortable whilst the substantial breakfasts and lovely home cooked evening meals ate in the courtyard garden area meant we needed only a very small lunch each day! The family are perfect hosts being friendly yet not intrusive - I cannot see how anyone would have any complaint if lucky enough to stay here.

Staying with Carmen and Carlos was our first stay in a casa particular in Cuba and it turned out it was the best accomodation of our trip by far. They are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The house has been restored beautifully in Cuban colonial style, and the room is spacious, comfortable and impeccably clean. Very central location. Carmen is a great cook and prepared us a lovely meal in the courtyard. Carlos assisted us with our transport to our next location for which we were most grateful as we are English speakers with very little Spanish. Would highly recommend staying here. Wendy and Mick.
