This is a cozy bed and breakfast with views to Parque Vidal, Santa Clara's main square. The building is an old colonial mansion modestly furnished with high ceilings and balconies overlooking the park. Rooms are very spacious w/ private bathroom, fridge, AC ( a must during the summer), and a small TV that you will not watch. My bed was softer that I would have preferred, but the foam mattress did not have springs, so I was able to sleep fairly comfortably. A nice reading light would be advisable. Breakfast is abundant and delicious—fresh fruits, fruit shakes, coffee, bread, eggs, some cheese... You can also request to be served lunch and dinner, which in Santa Clara is probably not a bad idea as local restaurants tend to be lousy. Service is personal and friendly. Cost of the room was 25 cuc for two people, excluding breakfast (4 cuc). All in all, a comfortable, friendly place in a quiet provincial city that's worthy of a short visit. Expect a modest amount of noise from the square as early as 8:00 AM—nothing serious, though.

This central hostel is simply amazing! The hosts are very kind, hospitable, Noelys is a great cook and they actually understand what "vegetarian" means and they prepared us an amazing vegetarian meal. We loved the place!!!!

I just had the most wonderful vacation ever. I stayed in the most beautiful hostal I have ever seen. Vista Park Hostal is located in the heart of Santa Clara, Cuba in front of the Vidal Park. Every morning I would wake up and go straight to my balcony with some Cuban coffee and enjoy the beautiful Cuban Culture. My room was so spacious, clean and comfortable. The house itself is a colonial house over 100 years old with gorgeous architectural details. The owners of the house, Noelys and Miguel, are the most amazing hosts. Noelys makes the most delicious black bean soup and she's a very good cook. This is the best place to stay in Santa Clara, Cuba. I highly recommend this hostal!!!!!

Lovely room, Miguel and his wife are lovely people, great food, and the house is right on the central square. A great place to stay in terms of seeing Santa Clara.

Our stay at this casa started off really nicely with the owner coming to the Viazul station to meet us with great old Chevy - meaning we could avoid the ubiquitous crowd of touts! The casa itself overlooks Parque Vidale, right in the heart of Santa Clara - it's converted apartments and the rooms are huge, with 14+ ft ceilings. Our room was great, with two balconies, air-con and it's own bathroom (though this was a bit odd, not having a ceiling, meaning it was a little open... and the shower was interesting...) Miguel and his wide were lovely, and the food they produced was excellent in true Cuban style. Only slight downside was the very rowdy square on the Sunday night, but other than that, very highly recommended.
