“Great wine expert Albert, but bad food, boring”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013 via mobile

This is a shame. A great staff and wine expert but with no support. The food is bland and just not worth it.
Why does Starwood inc. the owners change not change this. Make Viceroy improve the food please.
Luck has it there are great restaurants nearby. Both great French, local, Mexican and more.

“Hot, stuffy, mediocre food, slow service, limited selection”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2012

When we ate here, while the AC was running, the doors were wide open but there was no breeze and no windows to create a circulation of air. The food was fine, but nothing spectacular and resort priced. Lunch here was limited in selection, though you can eat poolside. We even got accused of running out on a drink and when we denied it, it still ended up on our hotel bill. (the front desk did finally remove it).

Walk down the beach to Blanchards instead!

“Solid buffet for hotel guests, nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2012

We ate at Aleta five times during our stay - nice choices of food from a well-stocked omelette bar, to lots of cereals (and soy milk too), plus waffles, crepes, hot foods, yogurts, local fruits, etc. Delicious jams on the tables, and if you got lucky with your coffee, French Press coffee in your very own carafe. Fresh fruit juices. Service wasn't great, but it's just a buffet so as long as you get your coffee/juice, what more is there?

“Awesome Breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2012

Ate here each morning and the spread was great. Tons of fresh fruit, crepes to order, french toast, yogurt, etc all included with the continental. Omelet bar was over the top as well. We usually grabbed a banana or two to go on our way out to snack on during the day and the staff was nice about it.
