A million thanks to all the wonderful staff for making our wedding a truly unforgettable experience. The staff was absolutely marvelous and treated us and our guests as family. Planning a wedding isn't the easiest, especially a destination but they made the process so easy for us. If you are thinking of visiting, think no further. If you are thinking of having a wedding here, do it. It exceeded all of our expectations.

We were absolutely delighted to host your wedding - and we agree that it was unforgettable! We love hosting weddings and try to make sure that each couple feel like they're part of the Viceroy family. We hope you and your guests made memories to last a lifetime.

My husband and I just returned yesterday from 7 days at the Viceroy. We are from Chicago so the sun, sand, beach, and infinity pool was much needed after working too much over the last year. I must say, we heard great recommendations from friends, we read the reviews and saw the pictures, yet it was extraordinary once you got there! I mean, it ACTUALLY looks like it does in the marketing video!! The property is super sexy, modern, sleek, and expansive. Just Gorgeous! The design aesthetic is very us and the sight lines from anywhere in the hotel are amazing. it truly is exquisite. Of course, it is also very expensive, but on our 2nd day, my husband and i looked at each other as we walked from the sunset lounge saying "this is one of those times you really, truly get what you pay for and going for the gold makes a huge difference..."

No detail was spared and no shortcuts were taken. There was consistent standards across the resort, high end EVERYTHING from sheets to towels to linen tablecloths to marble everywhere to chairs to art to the service. We also went right at low season so it wasn't packed - which we loved- and it felt like we had an amazing mega mansion to 'mostly' ourselves. not a lot of kids and families during the week (we stayed sun-sat), and it was nice not to worry about kids splashing in every pool and taking over the pool deck. The weekends were a bit livelier which was welcome after a low key week. The basketball playoffs were on so they set up a giant movie screen in sunset lounge and we watched the game there, with drinks flowing, sushi eating, and the ocean waves crashing in the background. Heaven. On another afternoon, we took a watercolor painting class which was surprisingly also fun. 3 other couples enjoyed it with us. From there we went to wine tasting in Coba. Such a great variety of things to do but not overwhelming.

Highlights: beach, pools (all of them), Coba, sunset lounge, the ROOM....Everything really. Extraordinary.

lowlights: cabs are expensive! More than NYC prices - $60 for a round trip ride to Veya, 12 min away. Either suck it up, rent a car, or eat on property (which i would recommend getting off property for the great eateries). Gas prices are high here so we didn't feel like they were just getting over on us, it really was what it cost to operate.

Sam, the Sales director, was also great. We took a tour of the residences and villas as we thought, hey, this might be an option for a vaca home. He was great, very knowledgeable about the property and the island itself, as well as real estate values across the carribbean. And total soft sell, no pitching. Loved that.

Overall: Excellent. Highly recommend. You won't regret it.

Room Tip: The one bedroom suites were perfect for our couples getaway. Plunge pool, open and expansive kitchen...

We've said it before and we'll say it again - there's nothing like a wedding at Viceroy Anguilla! It's wonderful for the wedding couple, and a nice little getaway for their guests! We certainly look forward to welcoming you back!

We stayed at the Viceroy Anguilla for four nights in April and were very pleased with our stay. We were on the all inclusive package which we found to be a great deal as the food can be very expensive. That being said, we thoroughly enjoyed our buffet breakfasts with the amazing selection of fruits and pastries as well as omelette and pancake stations. Dinner at Coba was excellent and the service there both times we went was also excellent. Our favorite pool was the infinity pool by Sunset Lounge. The view of the ocean from there was unreal. Our room was just the standard room but was a good size with a nice sized balcony and view of the ocean. Loved the shower and the welcoming snack waiting for us when we arrived. The woman who worked at the pool area by Sunset Lounge (I think her name was Alison) was wonderful and extremely attentive. I honestly found the majority of employees to be friendly and helpful, the food in all restaurants was excellent and the property is nicely laid out. I've read some previous negative reviews and I guess some people can always find something to complain about, but we had an amazing vacation and would definitely return.

Now you see why the Sunset Lounge is named as such. It's absolutely the best spot to watch the sun set - or to relax by the infinity pool while enjoying sushi and cocktails! We're glad you enjoyed excellent service and food. We look forward to your next visit.

Exceeded all expectations . Rooms were well appointed. Never have encountered such friendly staff. Food and drinks were pricey but well worth it. Beaches were wonderful.Lots of good places to eat close by property. Firefly restaurant is right next door and is really good.I would give this property a true 5 star rating.

Rarely do things look better in person than they do on pictures on the Internet. When I walked into my 2 bedroom Residence at The Viceroy Anguilla it absolutely exceeded my expectations. I love all the modern decor. We were in Manta/Moray 349 and had a fabulous view over one of the pools to the beach. We stayed with another couple and this was the ideal floorplan for us b/c both the Master Suite and second bedroom both have views of the beach and access to balcony. In fact really the only difference in the master and second room was that the Mater has a king and second room two doubles and the bathroom may be a touch smaller.

Okay, so my absolute favorite thing was the balcony. I could have stayed there my entire trip. On the far right hand side there is a couch, coffee table and two chairs. Then (a large double-bed sized swing, then and card table and then a hot tub. That is how big this balcony was. Not to mention the inside of the residence had a full kitchen barstools, dining table for six and a living area. Heaven.

Much has been said about the property. I found it to be breathtakingly beautiful and fabulously decorated.

The Sunset lounge was one of my favorite spots, Open air, bordering the ocean and the infinity pool. I am not a big seafood eater so was a huge fan of the In-and-Out burger on the menu. In fact the food at all of the restaurants was good, although we did not eat at Coba. And lots of nights they have a dj that plays fun dance music. Other times they will setup a big screen and show movies or sporting events.

The vibe here is more Miamish than islandy. It is very quiet and relaxing; not a lot of loud music pumped all over the place. Though there was plenty on the property, we did visit Picante (Mexican restaurant, inexpensive SO good) Blanchards (expensive, only okay, overrated) and The StrawHat (just for drinks, but they were good and friendly service.) You feel very safe walking the beaches and traveling off property to other restaurants. Although, beware of cabdrivers. One charged four of us $50 for a 3 mile round trip taxi ride. Another couple we met had rented a jeep and said it was only $50 per day, so that might be worth it.

The property was very clean and well-kept and in fact, I never saw any bugs. (Well maybe one ant the whole time I was there, but I mean really...)

Okay just a few negatives. The service could have been better. The concierge service was lacking and hard to get in touch with. Although, once we were able to contact him/her all of our reservations were handled satisfactorily. We had asked for our room to be stocked with some items prior to arrival. They were not there, there was no record of it and they didn't seem to care that they weren't there. However, that was okay b/c we had one of the golf carts take us to the end or the property, turned left and then on the right there is a market where you can buy cokes, chips, etc. less expensively. However, Diet Coke appears to be in high demand and you might have a hard time getting it there.

The service at Aleta (where they have the breakfast buffet) was particularly bad. Once we were the last people left in the restaurant and could not get anyone to give us our ticket without getting up and asking twice. This is particularly a shame because this is where the beautiful poolside cabanas are. We had a cabana that was included in our package but we could not get anyone to set it up, could not get towels without begging, could not get drink service. I wasn't too ticked b/c I was just happy to be there, but I heard that the cabanas rent for $500 a day and you can bet if I had paid for it I would have been highly irritated.

For some reason the service (bringing towels, complimentary bottled water, drink service) is just much, much better at the other two pools.

Overall, I loved the island of Anguilla and the Viceroy. I definitely hope that I have an opportunity to go back. I read trip advisor reviews obsessively before my trip, so I really hope this helps someone!

Also, we took the private charter (two couples split the $400 cost) that the hotel arranged from St. Maarten to the island and while that was nice b/c we got right out of the airport and onto the boat (equipped with cocktails) we opted to take a shared charter on the way back to the airport for $45 a person and it was fine.

If you decide to go to the Viceroy Anguilla have a great time! I can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: If traveling with another couple ask for Manta/Moray 2 bedroom residence. Both rooms have view of po...

We're thrilled that we exceeded your expectations! It's a goal we constantly strive for. We also completely agree that the rooms and decor really add to the Viceroy experience - nothing like ending a serene day in the sun with a nightcap in your private plunge pool. There are many great restaurants both on and off property - now you see why Anguilla is sometimes referred to as a foodie paradise! We apologize for any service issues you experienced and can assure you that your next visit to Viceroy Anguilla will be even more memorable than this one.
