The setting is so pretty but the food was ordinary and the service lacking in charm. Lobster cakes were a nice appetiser but our mains (pork and snapper) were really disappointing. The vegetables were horrendous, raw broccoli, undercooked potatoes and an orange coloured puree that was so sweet I couldn't tell what it had started out as. I think - for us - this is one to miss on future visits to the island.

This was not our first time to Mango's.....maybe our 8th. We found the restaurant empty at 8:45 on a Saturday night. A few lonely tables and one waitress. The food was mediocre at best. Ceasar salad was just "eh." Nothing to rock and roll over! The other appetizers were decent and edible, but nothing special.
Entrees arrived....they were ok.....we were tired from the day's activities and hot sun & needed some refueling. Again, nothing special. The wine we chose was fine.
The check came, the waitress wrote in, in pen "extra $$$" for trip....a bit unnerving. The service was fair, as was the rest of the meal. In the old days when the original owner, Dave, was around, this restaurant thrived. Now it's sleepy.

Mangos is good. Not a bad meal, but definitely not the best. View is amazing. Tuna tartare was good, but no where near the best or even top 5 that I've had. Fish was good, but nothing fantastic about it. Not the top 5 on the island. Too many other fantastic choices. But, everyone will tell you to go here, except for maybe the tourist who know good food!

Gorgeous table settings, good ratio of staff to guests.
Best sunset dinner site. Easy parking, nothing else nearby.
Better value than Blanchards, and more open setting

The ambience, service and meals were all very good. If you visit Anguilla, this place is one that I would recommend.
