“a good day”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

I went as an owner on b365 mile day.
obtaining my ticket was easy and straightforward.
it was not easy finding the owners bar as I have not been before and was not signposted very well so had to ask.
drinks and fast food are above average prices but are on a par with most sporting events in and around London.
the view from our position was excellent with only the 5 furlong races hard to see as they are in the middle of the course they are big screens so everyone can see the action.
the toilets were very clean.
TOP TIPS.
if you have a grandstand ticket ask for the pre-parade ring there are less people here so you have a better view of the horses before they go to the parade ring.
if parking at the racecourse parking charges are very high.
most bookmakers have I minimum stake and some hope for novice race goes and offer not good place terms i.e 1/4 the odds for handicaps they will offer a 1/5 so look for the sign on there board what the place terms are.

“Great day. Great prices.”
Reviewed August 31, 2013 via mobile

We had a great day today at the races. Must comment on the meal in the Food Hall. The Steak and Mushroom Pie with Mash and Veg. Was really good. A large helping, tasted great and was only £7.90. If you get the chance, then try yourself.

“Great day out, bit pricey though!”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

We went to Sandown on 17th July for a live music night with madness! The reason for writing this review as I looked everywhere before we went for some prices of drinks so I could budget and know how much we were gonna spend! It was £4.20 for a pint of carling, £5.50 for a glass of pimms, £4.20 for a can of strongbow and £2.10 for a bottle of water, so abit pricey! We didn't get any food but it was about £7-8 for a burger! It was a fantastic day though and madness were brilliant! The facilities were clean and the queues weren't too long! Next time we will take a picnic as you can also take in your own alcohol with a picnic (4 cans or lager or one bottle of wine per person)! I hope this helps some people! Trying to leave at the end of the evening was abit of a nightmare, everybody was pushing, so it may be best to hang back and wait until it clears abit!
