“Great Farm-Grotty Restaurant!”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

I can't understand how such a great place can have such a terrible restaurant! Since the Refurb I thought I'd give it another try(Rather than the great pub down the road!) But the service is still ridiculously slow;the dirty crockery still piling up on the tables;the staff still apathetic about the food, the customer etc. Can't someone help the poor old man who has to make all the toasted sndwiches??

“Geat PYO and farm shop”
Reviewed June 28, 2014 via mobile

My whole family love Garsons farm. Huge variety of fruit and veggies to pick. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. We go regularly as s family, and it's great value.

“Cafe - echo the others”
Reviewed June 23, 2014

To echo the others, the cafe really lets this place down. Such a shame as it would be nice to enjoy a coffee here but you're better off walking down to the pub on the corner for a decent drink (Prince of Wales). After having a few shockingly bad coffees here, on my last visit I went for a tea thinking how can that possibly go wrong - I mean, it's a tea bag and hot water - but it did! It tasted like it was made 10 mins ago. Tables are not cleared and the staff don't seem like they want to be there.
The 2 star rating is for the garden centre only. cafe would be zero stars.

“Father's Day - Strawberry Picking”
Reviewed June 23, 2014

Although this is quite local, I only manage to remember to go once a year on Father's Day for strawberry picking! They do have a large variety of vegetagbles and fruit to "PYO" and it is always worth while checking their website what is in season and ready to pick before visiting. WARNING: don't get over enthusiastic with your picking as it could turn out to be quite expensive. But for a day out once in a while it is great fun - the children (aged 11 and 8 years) love it. Garsons also have a very large and well stocked gift shop, as all farms do nowadays.

“Cafe!”
Reviewed June 20, 2014

Garsons farm is a lovely place but the cafe lets it down enormously! Very slow service, does not appear to be enough staff, staff that are present need to be a bit more dynamic with the service! Food rather expensive for what it was, toasted sandwiches arrived on what appeared and tasted like cheap sliced brown bread , the filling was just tasteless! I feel ingredients used must have been taken from the economy shelves at tesco! Not impressed! Outrageous prices for soft drinks too! Sorry but will not be eating at this cafe again!
