I have been in this hotel four days for a business trip.
I was not impressed at all ! Everything was very very normal and the only thing they were able to do was an upgrade in a "double room", which actually was: two rooms connected. In reality all additional space was unuseful.
Restaurant is very poor and the breakfast could be better; I would suggest to have more western things such as cakes, croissants, marmalades, espresso coffee, and so on .....
Very good the small massage parlor at the 10th floor.

Our initial views of the hotel were very positive. Large spacious reception, polite staff, and lifts to each of the floors. Our room was a good size, clean and well furnished, with a balcony looking over the city.

Then the little flaws started to appear. The gym had broken equipment, no AC and no drinking water available. The "Roof Top Cafe" mentioned in the hotel guide didn't exist. The bar on the Ground floor was similarly non-existent. To their credit, the reception staff did offer to direct us to a suitable establishment in town where we could get coffee and beer.

Dinner in the first floor restaurant was OK; the beef and chicken were quite tasty and not too tough, and the rice and vegetables were only slightly overlooked. However these weren't the dishes we initially ordered. The hotel had run out of cashews and bananas (grown aplenty in this region) forcing us to go for our second choices from the menu.

All in all not a bad place to stay, it just needs some of the niggles to be ironed out.

The main reason I do not rate this hotel as “very good” is its location, far from city center.
We stayed here for two nights, mid-January 2013. The hotel has two buildings, a small one (three floors) and a tall one. We got room 102 in the small building. That’s a huge room; actually it’s a small apartment. Its only drawback is lack of windows; it is in the center of the floor. It has a small “living room”, a large bed room, kitchen and bath. It is equipment with all necessary amenities, including a kettle and safe box. The bath and hot water supply are fine. Overall, an excellent room.
As for breakfast, in the first day there was a good buffet, as there was a tourist group. In the second day it seems we were the only guests so we got an “egg & bread” breakfast. It was not bad by itself, except that on one understand English and it was difficult to explain what we want. It’s important to mention that the people at the reception also do not understand English…
The location is problematic, far from city center; (more than 2 Km from the tank monument). We walked this distance as we couldn’t find a taxi. There are no restaurants around so you either can have dinner at the hotel or walk to the city center. We were on vacation and consider this walk as part of the fun, but one should be aware to this and take it into account.

I have stayed at Dakruco 3 or 4 times. Actually I could have been the first guest of this hotel 4 years ago, staying there while it was still under construction. I remember the bugs coming through the air con, as it was not yet isolated.

It has not improved much. They have splurged in the room's installations; everything is remotely opperated. Big bed, big room, but the general feeling of a cheap furniture shop. The hotel has several construction design flaws, from poor contractors. But what puts the hotel down is the lack of any kind of character. Like other reviewer wisely points out, it's like an airport by night.
There is also little to do around. No restaurants, cafes, or sightseeing, unless you walk considerably by the main shopless road. I often just go to the nearby coopmart supermarket and take stuff to the room and read there.
The hotel has 2 buildings: 4 and 3 stars. The 3 stars rates at around 25 dollars, and the 4 stars can reach 60 dollars. I feel actually better in the cheap less pretentious one. Restaurant and breakfast are the same place, though. I have never experienced problems with food supply or quality, unless taken in consideration that the place is mostly dead.

However. This is one of the few western-standard rooms to rest in Daklak, which has quite many activities to do, so it provides good rest after excursions. But it is a pity that one of the most charming provinces in Vietnam, Daklak and its national parks, tribes and waterfalls, has as best hotel this concrete block.

We stayed here (in the 4 star area) as part of an organised tour and our experience very much mirrors the reviews of others. Our room was large and well furnished with a huge bed and even a small balcony. The over-bath shower did flood the bathroom (due to a basic design fault that even I could recognise - the lip of the bath was higher than the tile surround). However, as the water in this hotel was never more than lukewarm, there wasn't much point in staying in the shower for longer than absolutely necessary. This hotel is approximately 3km from the city centre where, allegedly, there are a good range of restaurants. Normally, we don't mind a walk - but this would have been along a 4 lane road where pavements were being relaid and the ground was extremely rough and uneven. As we had a very early start the following morning, we reluctantly decided to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant. The menu was very extensive - always a bad sign. Sure enough, one of the four dishes we ordered was not available (nor was the substitute choice!). Apart from ourselves, there were 8 other people in the restaurant - one other couple and a tour group of 6 (who were having a set menu of western food). The staff looked bored out of their minds and who could blame them. Gatwick airport at midnight is positively buzzing by comparison with the Dakruco hotel. Totally souless. Avoid.

Only spent one night here as part of a tour - one night too many. From the outside it looked very nice, and the reception area was quite palatial. However, when leaving the lift for your room you would think you were in an old building which was very tired. The rooms were clean and quite spacious but it did not offer much else. Breakfast should have been good if only the food was available. No bread at 0800, juices had run out, no bacon for over half an hour (must have gone to catch the pig). Be warned that if you want an omelette cooked for you do ensure it is cooked! The one we requested was still runny egg in the centre. A great disappointment for a so called 4* hotel.

Not much choice in this town that sees very few tourists and it shows. We stayed in 3 star hotel and the room was clean and adequate having all the facilities required. Breakfast is obviously prepared for Vietnamese and when we asked for bread, etc, the cook jumped on his scooter and went over to the 4 star section and brought back bread, butter and jam.
