“Best pizza in Italy”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

Had dinner here based on the recommendation of the owners of I Castagni B&B and greatly enjoyed it! My husband and I shared a pizza, which was the best we had during our entire 2 week stay in Italy. House red wine was excellent too. For the desert try the Meneghina - think of french toast with rum soaked raisins and vanilla ice cream. Yum. Friendly staff and lively local diners.

“Authentic Italian Dining”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

On a recent trip to Milan we stayed at the Sheraton Hotel at Malpensa airport. The hotel was very expensive so we asked for a dining recommendation close to the hotel. We were told about Sempione and the hotel made arrangements for a driver to pick us up and take us to the restaurant. The driver turned out to be from the restaurant itself. The cost for the return trip was 10 Euro which was reasonable.

The atmosphere at the restaurant was pretty basic. It was clean and 'nice' but nothing fancy. However, the food prices and wine prices were extremely reasonable. Entree's ranges in price but almost everything was in the 10-12 euro range with some being less. A good bottle of wine was 14 euro.

I had a pasta dish that was fantastic. The colleague I was travelling with has a pizza and it was also fantastic. Everything about the meal seemed authentic. We shared a bruschetta for starters and it was excellent.

The staff spoke very limited English but enough to get by. In the end we had no problems at all. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone staying around Malpensa airport if you want to get out and enjoy an authentic Italian meal without spending a fortune. 2 could easily ear here including wine for under 40 euro.
