A must place to stay if you are in this area. Rita is a lovely lady who makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. On arrival in our bedroom we were greeted by a roaring log fire. It is like a step back in time, especially in this medieval village and we only wish we could have stayed longer than our one night.

You felt you had your own cottage especially as we had a roaring fire in our bedroom. The rooms are very old with some unusual features. The beds are very comfortable and so is an excellent place to stay. Rita is very friendly and helpful and so would highly recommend Le Tabellion as you really feel you are going back in time.

Le Tabellion is simply charming. Elegantly decorated with thoughtful little treats, a large peaceful courtyard with lounge chairs to catch the sun, welcoming tea and coffee, all the advice you could wish for about this very beautiful town from the owner, Rita - who is extremely kind and helpful with a depth of knowledge of the area and its rich history. The bells of the Church next door may occassionally ring during the night, but this is rural France and if the sound was an issue you'd just close the windows. Noyers is a fascinating medieval town, beautifully preserved and well worth a stay if you are in the vicinity - also home to many artists from France and abroad. The shops and galleries were lovely. Le Tabellion is a truly delightful little gem in a gem of a place!

Room Tip: We stayed in the ground floor twin room with a large bathroom and widows onto both the lovely courty...

A one night stay on a cycling tour, and after a marathon ride what a lovely welcome, a lovely place and in a lovely setting.

It's a delightfully quirky but warm and happy place - our room featured original 1940s wallpaper and a plethora of similarly retro flourishes with a photogenic outlook over the courtyard and nearby church.

The engaging owner, Rita, helped rejuvenate us with a bottle of Chablis shared with a friend of hers. A splendid breakfast included, intriguingly, fresh tamarind.

We would thoroughly recommend as a distinctive and welcoming place to stay.

We were travelling on our motorbike and booked one night at Le Tabellion. What a lovely experience. An amazing courtyard, where we parked the motorbike, and lovely bedroom in the main house. Not en-suite, but with a private bathroom next door and robe provided. Rita was charming and she gave us a much needed drink and we sat and chatted in her garden. It felt so comfortable, what a lovely welcoming lady she is. We had a nice breakfast the next morning and a stroll around Noyers which is a delightful medieval village.
Thanks Rita for a lovely stay in your beautiful home.

A fantastic bed & breakfast in the centre of this small medieval village.
Rita is a marvellous hostess - it's like staying at the house of your favourite aunt.
We had the choice of rooms and a drink in the evening with Rita and her friends.

We stayed at Le Tabellion as part of a cycling trip through Chablis. The front entrance is the old carriage entrance and, after passing the gate houses (now rooms to let) you come into a courtyard with the house on one side, various outhouses and the apartment we stayed in on the other side. The rooms are gorgeous, a really lovely mix of antiques and new furniture, with the essential power shower and super comfy bed. Rita has various rooms to rent on a B&B basis plus the little apartment, with it's own entrance, which was perfect for a couple but we fitted in fine with our 18 month old (one big bedroom so plenty of room for a cot, which was supplied). Rita speaks excellent English and is a relaxed and helpful host, who provides an excellent breakfast in a room full of antiques where our toddler was made more than welcome with her own antique high chair! Noyers is a bit one dimensional itself but a great base and it has the best restaurant in the area, the old Tower Restaurant, run by a mad Dutchman whose advice on what to eat is worth listening too!
