“Cosy little gem of a bed and breakfast where nothing was too much trouble”
Reviewed February 22, 2011

Sue and Ian run this lovely little b and b, situated just off the market square in the snug and friendly town of Masham. We stayed in one of the two double rooms, on the first floor( there is also a third room, king sized). Our room was very comfortable, especially the bed, tastefully decorated and warm, ( very welcome as it snowed during our stay!)
The breakfasts were lovely, a range of fresh fruit, juice, yoghurts, cereals, toast and choice of cooked breakfast and all well presented. It was good meeting fellow guests at breakfast, all seated at the one dining table. Sue and Ian are thoughtful and kind hosts, and , whilst not being intrusive in any way, were available to assist if needed, to offer advice about walks, local eateries etc. Each bedroom is ensuite, with TV, hairdryer, tea and coffee maiking facilities, ( plus lovely cake on arrival!), and there is also a comfortable sitting room with TV for guests.
We had a lovely 3 night stay. There is a lot to do in and around the yorkshire dales, and Masham makes a great base with some excellent pubs ( and 2 breweries!). This part of the world is renowned for the friendliness of people, and we certainly found that. We have stayed in Masham before, this being our first experience of Mandalina, and it won't be our last!

We stayed here so we cold attend our friends wedding at Swinton Park. It is a lovely B&B with only 3 bedrooms but with lovely owners and great facilities. We were warmly welcomed after a long car journey and showed to our room which was great. The breakfasts were amazing and the shared dining room and lounge were done out really well. We were made to feel at home which is what a B&B is all about!

Don't get me wrong, Swinton Park was amazing but at over £200 a night and often sold out for weddings this place was perfect. It is about a 20 min walk from Swinton or a 2 min drive and parking is right outside, and free at anytime.

I couldn't recommend it enough.

This is a superb B&B in a glorious North Yorkshire market village.
The quality of this accommodation is second to none, from first class rooms, spotlessly clean, great breakfasts and magnificent hosts - Sue and Ian.

Thanks for a lovely weekend - you both know exactly what you are doing.

We received a very warm welcome before being shown to our comfortable, spotlessly clean room. Our every need had been thoughfully catered for, from the hospitality tray containing fruit cake and shortbread to the shower room with excellent toiletries. Our landlady, Sue, could not have been more helpful and the breakfast she provided was first class. All in all, a delighful stay and we hope to return one day.

We stumbled over the Mandalina B&B by accident because Laterooms messed up our booking at the Kings Head.

Only spent one night there but the accommodation was excellent! It was spotless, newly decorated and had everything and more for a B&B.

Our breakfast was first class and Sue the landlady was friendly and welcoming. We would not think twice about returning.

The owners are most sincere and friendly. They have paid great attention to detail in furnishing and running this B&B. It is a lovely place. The rooms are clean and cosy with modern features. The breakfasts could not be bettered. Ask and it shall be found! We shall visit again. It is sound value. It is worth asking to park your car off-street. Thank you for a wonderfully relaxing couple of days. Derbyshire Tourers. 5.9.10.

Stayed for one night in early July. Excellent value. Lovely, comfortable room (the double). Delicious breakfast. Accommodating and friendly hosts that clearly want (and achieve) to put in that extra something to provide excellence. Masham is a gorgeous market town and the town and B&B make a perfect getaway. Thanks!
