“Great People and Great Beer!!”
Reviewed December 7, 2013

Have been trying to get on the brewery tour for years as its normally fully booked. Booked in advance this time. Tour was really good. Lots of info about the brewing and the history.
Booked for the bistro in the evening. (They only open Thursday- Saturday for the evenings). We were they only ones in to start with. The food was really good. The manager Paul was on duty and we had a great chat about all things beer. Really genuine guy. What can i say about the beer - spot on....

“Good Tucker”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

We booked in for the brewery tour at 11am and then had lunch in the bistro. If you do the tour you receive vouchers to try different varieties of the Black Sheep beers. The staff were friendly, a good menu to choose from and the meals were served promptly. The meals were very nice so it was a good time had by all of us.

“Pleasant Sunday Dinner”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

On arrival I noticed how busy the restaurant was - luckily we had booked in advance.
Sunday lunch was a choice of roast meats cooked on the AGA,alternatively you could choose from the specials board.
We had beef with Riggwelter gravy and Chicken with orange and Golden Sheep ale sauce both were generous portions and came with various types of potato, roast parsnip, Yorkshire pudding and a few other veg. All very tasty.
We opted to have pudding too and there was a decent selection however it was disappointing to find that these were bought in and not home made.
Service was friendly, maybe a little slow but this is understandable given the amount of customers they had in.
