We stopped here for three nights the rooms were clean and well appointed the food was good the views stunning the service and staff very friendly and the hotel is ideally placed for a quiet relaxing break yet within walking distance of the village where you can find everything you need.
The owners Jim and Pilar will give you all the local information and help you need to explore the beautiful Picos /Astaurius region whether you are on foot, bicycle, motorcycle or car.
We would highly recommend a stay at the Torrecerredo and are sure to visit again.

Recommended from another trip I went on last year; the hotel is a minute out of the town but very quiet and peaceful. The frontage and terrace area look over the vista of the hills which frame the 9000' peaks in the seemingly not too far distance. The rooms are very clean with state-of-the-art wash facilities. Free Wi-Fi in the bar area and, although we could have gone into Town to eat, the menu was extensive enough (with the view) to stay there every night. Jim and Pilar could not have been more accommodating in providing directions, tips and, in some cases (climbing and cycling) kit for our day activities - cycling, climbing, caving, canoeing (twice, on different rivers), go-karting and seeing the beach with dinosaur footprints.
Definitely to be recommended.

Room Tip: If you can get a front room, though the majority are at the back.

A short walk out of town - or as the lady told us "A fin de pueblo". Nice garden to enjoy a cold beer or some local cider, good food in the restaurant, very helpfull owner and his wife. Ask for rooms with mountainview. Can be a little crowded with groups during the peak season.

Spent 8 nights here as part of a walking and photography holiday.
Can't say enough good things about the staff, everyone was friendly and very keen to help and offer advice. They all clearly love the the area and this really comes through.
The room was not luxurious but was very comfortable and to be honest you won't be spending much time there as there is so much to see and do in the area.
We ate in the restaurant for seven of the nights and the food was excellent, varied and of high quality. Loved the pork curry!

We're just back from a nine night stay at Hotel Torrecerredo and had the most fantastic time. Believe all the good stuff you read from reviewers here .... Pilar, Jim, son Nicholas and the staff are a smashing, friendly bunch who made us feel really welcome and comfortable. Food is fresh, home cooked and plentiful - as our straining waistbands can testify. We did eat out, but couldn't find anything we liked better than the menu and quality at 'home'.
The en suite rooms are clean, comfortable and have stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Don't expect hairdryers or kettles, it's not that kind of hotel and too much strain on the electricity would probably black out not only the hotel, but the whole of Arenas de Cabrales!
The hotel is within easy walking distance of the bars and restaurants in Arenas de Cabrales - a small, rural village making a living from tourism, cheese and cider production. We were happy chilling in the cosy hotel bar and chatting to the diverse mix of other guests there to enjoy different aspects of the stunning Picos landscape.
Jim and Pilar are happy to share their extensive local knowledge and recommended some excellent riding routes for us - and the Picos is motorcycle heaven; lovely twisties on well-surfaced roads where three cars constitute a traffic jam. Oh and some absolutely spectacular mountain/coastal scenery.
We'll definitely be back in 2014.

Room Tip: If it's fiesta time in Arenas ask for a room on the west side of the hotel and you won't hear the music and merrymaking going on til dawn .... better still forget bed and go join in.
