This was our last day on the weeks sailing. We all choose mussles. They were service in a lot of garlic and oil together with newly baked bread. As a starter we had ham and cheese 4 portions with we shared. We had both beer and wine, water sparkling and still. Good priced, meaning we think it was cheap. The only improvement we think was the greek coffee wich was more like american.Highly recommended.

This place has a beautiful view, really stunning - and the list stops there. They are pulling a classic Croatian rip-off and cheating naive tourists by serving substandard overpriced food. The view will not make the food taste good neither and it cannot hide the fact that the "Mediterranean" calamari are in fact defrosted Patagonian variety (they are paper thin, whereas local variety is 5-8mm thick). In cultured circles this is called CHEATING, but in this restaurant they will try to convince you it is just baby calamari. :D Even though I am a fan of restaurants with small menus, this place is again substandard offering plain "cevapcici" or "pork cutlet" amongst a dozen of dishes - at prices 3-4x higher than normal. Never coming there again, definitely not financing rip-offs which give a bad name to the authentic food industry.

The location is just stunning with a tiny beach where you could stay and relax. When we return, we will definitely come here again.

If you go to Ciovo then you really should visit this location as the sun goes down even though it is not the easiest to find. The location is just stunning. You can spend all day by the sea and then eat here in the evening. Ok it may be a little more expensive but location, location, location and perfect for a romantic meal.

The grilled squid we had was great but now for the not so good bits and i hope the management read these reviews and take note.

The house red wine at 50 Kuna (£4.50) for haf a litre is barely drinkable. We have had very nice house reds at other places locally. Others comment about the partial view out to sea from some of the restaurant tables due to the olive trees and I agree. They could cut the tops or better still serve food on the terraces below the designated seating area and the view of the sunset and out to sea would be perfect. This would be a little harder for the waiters but managemement make the most of your location.

Whilst there yesterday a German couple arrived with a very young baby and wishing to put him at the end of the table where he was not in direct sunlight. This seemed to upset the waiter who just walked off without attempting to assist the couple - this was disappointing.

We visited twice and there is no front of house welcoming character like Roberto at Srdela. This would make such a big difference at a place like this.

All in all we would go back as the food is good and the great location but sort out the house red!!

GG
